It's way easier to sing while playing guitar, because it carries the melody usually. A lot of the time Mike is singing over a different note than he's playing when playing bass.

That was great. Your daughter is beautiful. Great background, nice pickin and I admire you raising your daughter in the music of the Dead not for their sake but because of how varied was and is their influences both musically, philosophically and morally (except for some small exceptions). They were about the music and digging deeper and the positive social ramifications of having a relationship with this audience and fans. They set the stage as contributors to world and Universal Peace for the next 10,000 years. God bless you both. Yes, one of the first people on Mars by the end of this decade will be deadhead(s).
I was in a swimming pool with Mike and Tessa a few hours before Phish played Exile on Main Street at Festival 8. I bought him a Virgin Pina Colada at the bar...lol!
Never understood why the Grateful Dead never trotted this one out, such a great little tune. Would have been a nice first set closer. Brent or Bobby could have handled vocals if Phil wasn't up for it. Nice timing, since last Thursday would have been lyricist Bobby Petersen's 84th birthday .
Well, I figured since I’m home I got more time to tour and play music and if Mike Gordon is willing I would love to do a little bit of a interview on what it felt like to tour with Scott murawski
Great stuff Tessa! Keep working on your dad and eventually he’ll catch up to you one day. These grown ups take time and patience, lol😂 Seriously, love ya both. Peace ✌🏼
Always loved this song - much to the chagrin of my Dead Head pals - Funny story - at 18 I wrote, with my finger, the title in the dust/dirt of a friend's Mom' car - and it unexpectedly scratched it into the paint (oops!) Every time his mother went to a car wash - there it was, written LARGE across the back of the car "Pride of Cucamonga" She was not a fan of me - or the song. :)
I have some good news and more good news I’m going back in to work tomorrow but I’m not going back to the house for a while so wen program is over I will be leaving around 2 pm and will be coming back home to holliston until we can get some stuff settled at the mall hall house and I will be leaving day prgam around 2 pm and then I will be going to do my appointment at my Holliston House
Must be a pretty difficult task on the solo acoustic with all those weird changes in that song. Nice rendition! (Original will allow you to tolerate a pedal steel guitar)...lol.
I thought about that for a moment, but you can see she's smiling at the beginning and at the end. She could be just a little nervous, which it's really ok :)
RIP Phil!

AWESOME! one of my favorite songs and its really such a treat to see this by Mike and his daughter!
This guy plays pretty well, he should check out the band Phish.
Nice lol
This is great! What a underrated song ...keep these Lakeside sessions coming.
Please! What a phat acustical tone. Plus Tess real brings the Truth. Solid reading.
Some real moments of beauty you two, thanks!
Mike is one damn fine guitar player ! Excellent performance both of you !
Spectacular. Nice job Tessa (oh, and Mike too)!
My Dad's the bass player in Phish. How cool is that!. On another note, Mike sings better here than I've ever heard him with Phish. That was fantastic!

Love this song and the background! What a great job Gordon's!

I’ll make you guys a deal if I go out on tour this year?
😂 Look at Mike chopping wood on that guitar like it was a Bass!
Not a fan of Fish BUT, I am a Mike Gordon fan. 🤘
PHiSh
Marillion Sucks!! (actually they mostly don't)

I’m sorry Tessa
check out this PHINE version: ruclips.net/video/frow_sVJ1tA/видео.html. noticed he left out the "wine and vine" verse ... kid phriendly and all ...
This must be Lake Champlain.
She should've joined for Mike's birthday show
Is that an acoustic Travis Bean
How many people are looking for me and tesa Gordon do papa loves mambo
This guitar play picks a lot more like a bass player.
He was a guitar player before he played the bass.
Sahweet Shuger❤killAH Jams 👍🥰🌹
That song isn't covered enough.
How are you doing Mike
That’s crazy it’s a mini female version of mike.
Cute

seems like she may have the same sense of humor too.
Found another Mondegreen "border" not "motor".

what abt the part where the weed grows
She looks thrilled .... looks like she was forced to sign this lol
That girl looks really uncomfortable.
I thought about that for a moment, but you can see she's smiling at the beginning and at the end. She could be just a little nervous, which it's really ok :)
I don't like the meds she is on.
Beautiful 😍!!! 🕉️☮️⚡💀🌹
