I have not found any sound with more depth than this album. Maybe one of the greatest records to ever come out of California, and they did it all without dishonoring God, that is something special. Still jamming in 2023, baby on the way, can't wait to share this with them
Wtf? When you normally search identity crisis on youtube this doesn't come up, as if it's hidden. But if you google it it comes up. Thanks so much for posting. This is by far their best album.
Such an amazing and very catchy album for those who would really listen. IMO one of the best albums ever along with illusion of safety, this album is more raw and fills your spirit
It's natural, and some people are either too young to experience theirselves change music tastes yet, or are too stubborn. Your musical taste will shift slowly over time and as a musician, you will want to explore different music and see what you can do. Listening to one type of music forever is boring anyways, I feel bad for those poor metal elitist kids.
take a look at system of a down... (they are old... they are hard as fuck). I disagree. I think bands change over time, it's more guided by their music influences, which change over time..imho. Of coarse, there is always sell outs who change to conform to record company pressures... and even though I don't like any thrice after "artist in the ambulance"... I still would put them in the first catagory, not the second.
kushasaures I think what they turned to (which I really don’t like) was their own decision and I mean I wish they made more shit like this but as a musician you got to make what you feel not what other people want of you
I can't listen to any Thrice after The Artist In The Ambulance. I don't know if it's because I'm 28 years old and their old stuff got me through a lot of hard times, or if they did actually get shitty.
Their new stuff is amazing, BUT I know that it won't please everyone, so I understand if it falls out from your taste of music. But yes, you will get sick of playing the same shit over and over and over and over, even if it is brilliant.
darkmasterchief227 I agree 100%...why should it matter? Thrice is one my favorite bands ever, but I am not aligned with any religion. People need to stop drawing these lines.
MJR im an atheist, and I jam out to thrice not cause of their religious lyrics (in some songs, but they never make it clear anyways so it allows interpretation by listener in their own way) it doesn't bother me, its thrice's expression as artists and I accept that, also their music is fucking awesome
kushasaures your comment here was 4 years ago. Have you heard the new 2016 album? Some of its ok. U gotta give it to thrice though... They're keeping their head above the water in this constantly changing music world.... When was the last time since the 80s that a band could stick around for up to 15 years? ( Lol Green Day doesn't count. They actually started in the late 80s)
Vote minor party please. Read about the Fed Cartel (federal reserve is owned by provate banks) that is all. (before I start a political shit storm on this page).

Name of the album?
@@loki-of-asgard7877 Identity Crisis
This is one of my favourite albums of all time. There are few bands/albums that compare to old school thrice.
love Thrice, never heard this album..that intro is pure thrash gold. This band was superb

Ahh, the album of my teen years!
Thrice sounds so different today
Their first four albums are definitely the best...
I love all their music!
Glad they put up this album and in HD! Their old stuff is my favorite hands down.
Image marred by self-infliction
Private wars on my soul waged
Heart is scarred by dual volitions
Juxtaposed and both engaged
Kindle flame, a test of faith
Pray help me see it through
I put all my trust in you
Refine hate and love
Fall afresh on me
End this crisis of
Identity
Draw this darkness out like poison
Stab, retrieve, again decline
Help me drive the dagger deeper
Trace with me explicit line
Take this blade, a test of faith,
And strike me deep and true
I put all my trust in you
Refine hate and love
Fall afresh on me
End this crisis of
Identity
This is my voice, all shadows stayed this is my heart, upon the altar laid
Please take all else away, hear my cry, I beg, I plead, I pray
I'll walk into the flame, a calculated risk to further bless your name
So strike me deep and true, and in your strength I will live and die both unto you.

Thanks for the lyrics. I always had the cd without the booklet inside and never really knew all of the lyrics. Such a beautiful song that rocks hard.
I wish we all could sing this loudly together
I dont sing all that well but ill do what I can 😂
Been a fan since 05 and never cared they were the uncool band . In my book thrice always made better music than anyone else .
I've been looking for this song forever. Thank you so much...
Aha... Here's the album I was looking for. Thanks uh... Jared Schroeder...
Going to see Thrice tonight💕💕

I DONT WANT THE ON HIATUS D:
A deeper connection probably. Because chicks dont have real problems.

hahaha. I was speaking generally. Obviously there are exceptions such as yourself. (maybe)
Cant play it load enough...
I like them... it's the real punk rock style !! no more chix taking over as vocalist!!
great band. all of yall jammin out to them not realizing they are Christian band :)
ARE THEY REALLY? It's been over a decade since I got into them and this is news to me...
Does it really matter if they are christian though?

Imho, this is the only thrice worth listening to, they changed and for the worse.

If they remastered this album just like Artist in the Ambulance, I will be able to die in peace
