Lean el libro Viajes Por Las Pampas Argentinas del escritor francés H. Armaignac quien escribe "Un extranjero puede adquirir, aunque sea muy difícil, todas las destrezas del gaucho, vestir como gaucho, hablar como gaucho... pero no será nunca considerado gaucho; en cambio sus hijos aunque todos sus linajes sean directamente europeos, al ser ya nativos o criollos serán cabalmente considerados gauchos."

Looking from Europe, the terrain is not very suitable for cattle breeding. Are there extensive pastures or just such steep, bushy hillsides with poor grass?
The Patagonias are well known for having large plains of grass this is only in the hilly regions where wild cattle live to avoid humans.

por que la patagonia antes era de ellos los chilenos y se nos mezclaron las culturas, no les hagam caso a pendejos que de seguro son provincianos y alientan al odio entre chile y argentina, yo siendo un patagón que convive con chileno, sabe que si existen los gauchos chilenos y que son nuestros hermanos

Son los descendientes de los gauchos de la pampa argentina. Es que antes no estaban delimitadas las fronteras entonces muchos quedaron en territorio de chile

They're actually very caring for their horses, they fall down in the video because of the deep mud pools.
The landscape is very rugged and unforgiving, I live near this location, theres so many peat bogs and just inhospitable terrain. This is the reason why its barely inhabited. Horses and sheepherd dogs are the best friend of these countrymen, without them they could not survive out there.
