I pulled up at the lights on Old Geelong Rd. a while back. I heard a lumpy, tough idle and looked behind me and couldnt work it out (BMWs, Camrys and SUVs)?? Next set of lights I knew it was coming from the BMW, I said "What the F is in that bro!" Fadel replied with a massive smile "LS bro!"

I never understand why Aussies use old Turbo 400's and Power Glides in everything they build, I know speeding on public roads is a huge no no with the Gestapo police there but damn to remove a perfectly good 8HP for a Turbo 400 boggles my mind. Cool build though I absolutely love it!

th400 is just easy and works
Turbo 400 works at the drag strip sure but on the freeway it's a pain in the ass with no overdrive but I guess if that's your thing knock yourself out, to each their own.
@CHINGY1993 8HP are pretty decent compared to boxes like ZF for eg. Play with their software for torque limits and they hold 400+w@wheels all day.

Is it really cheaper than just selling the 4 cylinder and getting a 6 cylinder turbo model ? After all the engineering needed in Vic ...
Still needed to replace the engine in it.
@fullboost This seems like a great alternative to trying to keep ever complex( and expensive! )euro engines alive if you enjoy racing and spirited driving and don't have bucket loads of money. I know the question of legality and modified cars probably don't go hand in hand but staying within the regs and not being hassled by the law is a consideration for some. It adds to the enjoyment of ownership knowing that you can just drive anywhere you like without drama.
With that said would this combo fall into that category and if not in it's current form would it be able to within a reasonable expense? Awesome channel btw and I enjoy watching your content. Can't say I've seen all your stuff so maybe you have already covered this topic. Would you consider a video specifically on the subject of major mods such as this cars and what it takes to keep them within the rules and regs?

@@fullboost Nah I mean sell the whole car as is , use money to get a 6 and you don't have to go through the costs of engineering ... That is if its engineered at all ...
The owner likes LS engines. The car scene would be pretty boring if we all drove the same cars. 👍
