    Thanks for the video !
    I still don't understand how one single dock can handle 3 x 4K60 displays + other peripherals...
    I thought Thunderbolt 40Gb/s could only support up to one 4K144 display 🤔 (with no bandwidth left)

      it's compressed data, unscrambled by the chip

    I like the long winded infomercial for the shameless, cheap and janky looking CalDigit TS4 Station knock off 🤢

    Love the video! Is there any noticeable latency on the 12 in 1 when operating in the external displays? I will be running a 3 display setup with an m2 max so I’m very curious.

    Hey u got a hint for me, how to use 3 displays with the green 12in1? Two of my displays running well, but the third on , connected to the 8k cdmi , isn't running. Also the DisplayLink software didn't recognize it. It's just with this one port. Any Idea maybe?

    Hello! this docking works at 10bit depth for the external monitor display that supports it? i've heard that display link supports only 8bit...maybe you can give us a feedback about that :)

    9in1 is in use. The best choice for the m2 MacBook Air.

    What about the temperature of the device? Does it make any kind of noise? If it is connected to the MacBook Pro turned off, does it turn on when I press the boot button of the Ugreen? Thanks for creating this content.

      Devices get warm like any other dock. The power button is for the dock only.

    What about 2k 144hz? Is the higher refresh rate supported on lower resolution monitors on any of the ports?

    One of my displays (Apple) is USB-C only. Can I use the dock for both a USB-C display and an HDMI? If not, can I connect the USB-C display to my MBAir and the other HDMI through the 7-in-1 Dock?

    • @JerrySchulze
      @JerrySchulze  10 месяцев назад

      It it is a studio display or lg5k display that would be thunderbolt and you would connect directly to the Air and the dock could be used for additional displays.

      @@JerrySchulze Have you done this yourself though? Seems like it would work but would like to confirm before I order it.

      Yes. You need the displaylink software installed to run the second display.

    Love your videos so far, great work!
    I have one question about docks for Macbooks, do you NEED to have displaylink enabled devices to have 2 extended external displays? or what are the alternatives? I read that DisplayLink does not play that well with videogames (high cpu/gpu workloads)
    Thanks!

    Hi Jerry, thanks for the video. I have a question. Is there any way to connect the Apple Studio Display (5k and Thunderbolt cable) with this docking station? Or, could you provide any alternatives (different docking stations or workaround)? I found other docking stations with Thunderbolt ports, but it seems like they don't support DisplayLink. I'm using Mackbook Air M2. I have one Studio Display and two non-Studio Display monitors. I want to connect my MBA M2 with Studio Display and two (or at least one) more other displays.

    • @JerrySchulze
      @JerrySchulze  Год назад +1

      I think you will need to connect the studio display to one port on the Mac and the display link dock to the other.

      @@JerrySchulze Thanks for the reply! Then, I will purchase one DisplayLink dock. One more question: is there a DisplayLink dock that I can connect monitors with USB-C ports instead of HDMI or DisplayPort? (I have many cables ending with USB-C to connect monitors directly to my previous Macbook.)
