Thanks Doug for trying out the wagon today. I had to work at it to solve it in 5, but that’s what makes this game interesting.
I don't normally share my guesses here. Watch & enjoy your videos every day. But today was cool: ROAST, STARK. Wow! Pretty sure this was my fastest time ever. It was literally about 5 seconds after getting the matches on my opening word that I typed in STARK and hit enter.

Did you ever consider the possibility of the answer being START? Or was that the solution once before and you automatically ruled it out?
Yes. I thought of “start” first. Then “stark”. But “start” was the word
9-11-21, before I started to play.

For a brief instant, I thought I had the magical hole-in-one with my standard starting word of STARE. Four greens lit up and then...nope. Figured it was an easy two-solve ("start") until I recognized another possibility. Debated and finally decided on STARK. So I got lucky and solved it in two.
That must have been exciting!
Excitement for an instant is perhaps too quick to even comprehend. You can’t even formulate words in your head. I was happy to have gotten it in two rather than three.

Great solve, Doug! I can totally relate in regards to your QUART guess. I've thought of QUxxx words in the past and guessed them thinking maybe I'd have a quick, cool, brilliant solve, and I don't think that's ever worked out for me once! 🤦♀️😅

I was down to STARK and START on the third guess, but I figured STARK would be better because it would test more letters, and then I could always try START after that if it didn't work out. (I also figured START had to have been the answer already, and when I checked, I found out that it was, sometime back in 2021 before I had even heard of Wordle.
FRESH is an interesting word for your starting word suggestion for tomorrow. I'm already imagining AUDIO as a potential second guess if nothing hits on the first one, but I can't imagine not a single thing will hit with any of those letters, so we'll see. I can't wait to give it a shot!

I thought of STARK and START, chose the right one. I did not think of another possibility, SMART.
Got STARK on the fourth guess.
ATARI is also a term in the game of Go, it refers to the situation where a player's stone or group of stones are one move away from being captured. That being said, I also doubt it's in the word list.

In the game of go, "atari" means a player's group can be captured on the next move, not that the game is almost over. A game may have many ataris that happen, and sometimes the group is taken, sometimes not, depending on the overall strategy and whether there is another move that is more urgent. The equivalent in chess would be if a piece is hanging and can be captured.

I found later that the answer could be any of these words
