    I would have been interested to see how they all worked with thinner paper and whether or not the glue wrinkled the paper. For example, the Elmer's one is great but it wrinkles the paper when it dries. I do paper piecing so small tip that doesnt wrinkle is what I need to find...

    The thin glue are not for glueing stuff, they could be used for creating special white look of watercolor painting. Your video just show that tombow and Sakura are what I need.

    Hey Jenny, the Zig glue pen is the same as the Creative Memory one. In fact, I think they MADE the CM pen. I have had a few of these for literally YEARS and they still work fantastic. The big problem with the Quickie glue pen, is that if you don't use it for a while it will dry up in the pen and you have to throw it away. The nice thing about the Zig 2in1 glue pens is that they come with many different tips, from fine (like the CM pen) to super wide. It's the best!!

    I surprised that the #1 on the video, which performed the best of all, was discontinued. I don't understand companies, when something works they discontinue the product, go figure.
    Thanks for an excellent comparison.

      +Naticris Tellavi I'm with you. It makes no sense at all. Maybe she should send her test results to the head of the company.

    • @crafttestdummies
      @crafttestdummies  9 лет назад +2

      +Naticris Tellavi I'm guessing that CM discontinued it because it WAS manufactured by the same company/plant that makes the Martha Stewart version... and that relationship fell apart for some reason.

      Good point. Maybe I should check out the Martha Stewart version and see if it measures up.

      Martha Stewart glue pen is great...very fine tip, but pricey and doesn't last that long. The best glue pens would be refillable. Don't you think?

    Hey there, I'd like to see a comparison on embossing powder... My Stampin Up embossing powder works pretty well, but some of the others I've tried are if... So I'd love to see what you come up with that. ( I'm not sure if you've already done that... I'll have to search your videos). Hugs, Candy

    Very helpful. Just FYI: I have the Sakura Quickie Glue Pinpoint Roller Pen which I bought for adding foil embellishments to cards. While it works very well for that, I will not be buying it again because even though I always, always replace the cap tightly, I have a few of these pens that have glue I can see in the barrel but which will no longer lay down the product! Very frustrating. I have taken to banging them on the table and making a racket and sometimes after about 10 minutes (really) of that, I can get the glue flowing again but sometimes not. I am going to try cleaning the nib with alcohol as you did and will see what happens. The thing I like about the Sakura is that it is a permanent bond when used wet and removable bond when used after it has dried. You have to let it dry to put down foil, which will peel off with a fingernail, but it still enables a nice embellishment. Maybe you could try a little foil on the next glue pens you are testing. Thanks again for the great video!

    Thx you for making this. I do wished that you would have 1) used completely clear vellum with nothing on it so I can see how the glue looks on vellum & 2) did an acetate test. Have a great day♥☻☺

    Could you tell us how to unstick a glue pen. The glue is liquid when the pen is shaken but the little ball in the pen tip does not roll, so no glue comes out.

    Great comparison! I thought Tombow would have done much better :( I have Martha Stewart's Glue Pen. I wonder how hers would compare? There is a lot of metallic embossing powders. Maybe a test of these would be cool. Thank you!

    Good video!! Too bad #1 has been discontiued. I actually use Write N Rub Tonertex Foil Glue for glitter writing, (it is hard to find though) but I really don't do that much. So for how much and how often I write with glitter, I go to the old stand by ... Glitter Gel Pens!!! Hey, that would be an interesting comparison Gel Pens!!

    Stampin' Up has a 2-in-1 glue pen as well. You can glue things down right away, or if you put the glue on paper and let it dry, it acts like a Post-It note. :-)

    I tried using 2 way tape covering a book with card stock. Needless to say it was a disaster. Also Is there a tape for fabric that you can make a project and not have to sew? I no longer have a sewing machine and I have been asked to make something for someone. I don't want a liquid glue. It shows all the time.

      +Sandra Sears Do you mind using a heat-activated glue? I really like Heat 'n' Bond lite for fusible sewing projects- the iron activates the glue and it sticks very nicely for no-sew items.
