From Battlefield 2, to Bad Company, and then to Battlefield 1 the series was at it's peak. Then BFV rolled in and you start to see a lot of red flags... then 2042 released. Then you find out a lot of people who worked on Battlefield prior to BFV left and you see the drop in quality.
Everything evolves. Personally I absolutely adore BFV since its inception, being a history geek I wasn't really nitpicky on the marketing honestly. The bugs were fixed rather quickly and the game shaped up faster than 2042 did. It's almost as if the devs prior to BFV were leaving them a checklist with BF1, what to do and what not to do, and the young and fresh developers newly hired did their best to follow up to that. 2042 wasn't even supposed to be a Battlefield game to begin with, it just ended up that way and unfortunately those developers were forced to deal with that backlash, so of course most of them left too. Now we get a skeleton crew to work on the game. Who knows who is gonna actually make the next BF happen...yeah EA spit out some names of some Dev teams but who is in them...?
@@Lambda264 I would say 3 and 4 were some of the best games of the Battlefield franchise. They came out during the peak of Battlefield's popularity. I have a lot of good memories with both games (especially 3).
A time when getting your tags taken was personal.
dont take my fucking tags or you and your team will experience alot of t bags
getting stabbed was scary
Disagree, BF3s knife system was horrible because of slashing.
