I am a modest trap shooter. What this video showed me is that sometimes the 'modest' clay shooter can know more than the top shooters. I heard far too often the old pros asking a new shooter if they shoot with one or both eyes open. But then they, I guess in a 'comforting' intent, go on to telling them it really doesn't matter. Like Mr. King pointed out, correctly in my opinion, is that everyone has a dominant eye. And if (as in my case) the dominant eye is over the none controlling shooting hand, keeping both eyes open will give you consistently imperfect rounds.

So if I’m right handed & left eye dominant I close my left eye or rather put tape over my shooting glasses?

The dominant eye doesn’t mean that eye is “stronger”. It just means that the signals to the brain are received from that side more than the weaker side. The Easyhit system is great, provided you don’t use it as an aiming device.

There is a better way. A fiber optic light tube sight bead on the gun. Only the eye on the gun can see the bead. I use the Easyhit sight but there are others out there. Both eyes can see the target but only the eye on the barrel can see the bead. Works great.
That is a beautiful girl right there.

I’m sure this is all done with the best intentions but it’s a very poor, totally subjective method of assessing a complex topic which could greatly hamper a shooter’s progress in the sport.
It’s amazing how a speaker can talk with absolute certainty on a topic they clearly have very little grasp of.

Whats wrong with these people? Clearly, they have too much time & money to waste !.
Prior to this episode visit a proper optician & get your eye's tested by this qualified optician, he/she can advise correctly rather than this hit & miss venture with someone who is ill equipped to deal with this important issue.
Please note, this 'instructor' is wearing those confounded coloured plastic/graphite spectacles, that are not optically corrected to the individual persons needs.
Then, be aware of what clothes you are wearing during your gun fit, summer clothes during a CORRECT fitting will be of little use during a very cold winter when more & thicker clothes are required, thus throwing out of kilter the entire expensive gun fit. Remember 1/8th EXTRA on 'cast' or 'length of pull' can equate to an extra lead of plus/minus 12' at 35 yards, HIT OR MISS.
