His Dum Dum Unchained version is bass heavy, ALL GUITAR and rock (and in English!) This version not so much, you should watch it. Very rock n roll.

The instrument is a traditional Thai string instrument! If i'm not mistaken, it's called a Phin.
You should check out Jeff's song Rain Wedding, its not your usual style but you might be interested in hearing it since it has a Thai folk sound to it that you may not have heard before. It's also on the soundtrack of a movie Jeff stared in and has beautiful lyrics.

Jeff Satur?? NICE. Couple things for you guys:
    1. His last name is pronounced like "Saturday" but obviously without the "day" part.
    2. He's just an all-around cool dude. His acting is great for dramas and action, and he got his start with his music by competing in singing shows, doing covers on RUclips (Disney, BTS, or whatever hit him), and writing/composing/singing for Thai dramas.
    3. Jeff REALLY started getting popular after acting in the Thai drama KinnPorche and singing one of the main songs "Why Don't You Stay" (Thai and English version).
    4. Like what other commenters said, definitely check out his Unchained version of Dum Dum. Or his completely English song Black Tie. Or hell, if you want a cool plot twist in a music video, check out the song Ghost. Plus, a LOT of his songs have 3 versions- Thai, Chinese, and English.
Keep going guys! I've been watching your channel for a while and it's really cool to see reactors listening to songs/artists I've enjoyed for years for the first time! (I want to recommend you other artists, but my essay on Jeff is long enough. I'll try to give you a recommendation another time.)

The instrument is called “Phin”, it is a type of lute originating in Isan, Thailand. I recommend Jeff’s live performances especially Dum Dum. My fav is probably when he performed Dum Dum followed by Adele’s Skyfall at the Kingdom Concert 2024. Skyfall is on another level, I don’t have the words to describe it. Like others I totally agree that Dum Dum Unchained is a must. His vocal range is unbelievable but dont want to spoil it. Black Tie (collab with Valentino) is in my humble opinion under rated, it is so good. The lyrics are so meaningful. He rose to popularity in 2022 due to him being part of KinnPorsche the series and subsequently became his own boss end of 2022. His named his company Studio on Saturn. He also wrote, composed and sang the OST Why Don’t You Stay for KP and this is where most of us went down the rabbit hole. WDYS has 2 versions, the original in Thai and the World Tour version which is in English. I prefer the World tour version because he is performing on the piano and singing. It may not be your cup of tea but it really showcases why he captured so many fans. He has been releasing hits after hits since 2023, as he did it his way. His last single came out this past August, Rain wedding, OST for his first ever movie called The Paradise of Thorns. His next MV is slated to be released January 10, 2025. He is also starring, writing & composing the music, producing and writing the script for his first ever series produced by his Studio to be released in 2025, called Happy Ending. The sneak peak looks unbelievable. I would add the link but YT will not allow me. To search for Happy Ending you have to search for Studio on Saturn in order to find Happy Ending sneak peak and the OST, which is so good. Cant wait for the full version to be released. Sorry for the long essay ☺️

I got into Jeff's music nearly three years ago, and I haven't looked back. My most played playlist on my phone is a collection of nothing but his songs. His range is wonderful and his ability to shift genres (and make them work beautifully) is a talent unmatched by many. I would definitely recommend you checking out Black Tie as well. Its one of my absolute favorites. The lyrics are in English, as Jeff is multilingual.

there's an ig reel on his acc haha where he played the stronger bass version. i think for this he wanted to highlight the thai feel with the traditional thai guitar like instrument phin that he used along with a western melody.

I think Jeff is his nickname. Most Thai people have a nickname that they are known by because of the requirement for every Thai name to be unique and only related people have the same last name. (Like if Smith was a Thai last name and you were a Smith there would never be a Smith you weren't related to.) This has resulted in Thai names being crazy long hence the practice of everyone using nicknames, which are often nouns like Ploy meaning Apple or Perth or Boss or Book or Bank etc.
Jeff is great. My fav song of his is probably Comedy (Tragedy version) from the gay horror mini series he was in He She It. Although Why Don't Stay from the mafia series he was in Kinnporsche, Steal the Show with Shaun and Memories from the other series he was in Ingredients is also very good.

It's difficult to see in this video, if they're on, but Jeff has English CC caption on all his songs official released songs, when he sings in Thai. Would definitely recommend activating them. His lyrics are so meaningful.

Jeff not only writes the songs and music and arrangements, he often writes it two or three times in different languages or for different arrangements. If there are automatically lyrics on the video, there are always English captions. (If you wanted to know the lyrics he was singing here.)

If you want rock, listen to the "Unchained Live Version of DumDum" (it's not really live). That version is in English, so completely different lyrics (though same theme) than this version. Also the musical arrangement is also different, as it's a complete rock song/performance. ruclips.net/video/JSagyvDgVk0/видео.html&ab_channel=JeffSatur

What a shame. The 'Unchained' version is much more rock-inspired. This version is good, but restrained. 'Unchained' is off the wall and definitely worth a look.
