LOL! That Speakon thing really got to you towards the end there, we got to see a bit of a Dak-breakdown . . .a Break-Dak if you will. I'm super excited to see all of this hitting in a demo and it was awesome seeing a Dak video in my feed. Let's go! More vids!
Yeah, standards are pretty useful, I didn't even mention the black amp has a bridge output which uses XLR pins 2 and 3, but the standard outputs use pins 1 and 2, so I can't even use the same cable on the same amplifier. Honestly I'm just waiting for the virus to finish up, it's been relatively under control in Aus, but gatherings are limited to 5 visitors per household, or 20 per outdoor/public gathering. Once it's back one of my mates are getting a mean sound system if they host a party. I'll probably put a video up in a week if I'm not lazy
I like the nakamichi banana plugs. they seem to make a very good connection. the outer sleeve screws on from the end, so no need to put it onto the wire before attaching the plug. but a word of caution, the outer sleeve isn't insulated, it's live.
One of my friends a while ago asked half joking, that when he will build his house, he wants all the sockets to be Powercon, but I guess Speacon could work too! :D
The problem with not being able to use both was resin set on the thread, when I ground it off, I managed to thread on the nut, so I'm able to use both. I didn't wanna grind it off in fear something would melt, or worse, catch fire, so first I did try soldering. Result was not awful, but I was able to yank it off, so I proceeded with the grinding. Also I don't have a welder, wouldn't mind getting one, though I'd want to use it regularly in order to justify the purchace.
"Your amp survived . . . but at what cost!"
**thunder rolls in from the background**
**soft piano**
I like the design man. And the connection is neat. Bet It sounds great!!!

Kārlis Zālītis thats what power cons are for and they are 20amp depending on the version you use.
Just don't get AC mains cables and speaker cables mixed up and you're golden!
Solder or weld a cable onto the stud with a broken thread. Then you can use both?
