    Do husbands actully control family fortunes?

      I would think that when married, each spouse has a right to any of the wealth the other person has, unless outlined in a prenuptial agreement. I'm not a marriage attorney, but I think the book at least outlines the logic in that community, which, after all, allows a 14 year old girl to marry.

      Kick X Weeb She could be married with the consent of her guardian, which in this case is Count Olaf

      @@kickxweeb4669 if she has a guardians permission, she can get married. And since Count Olaf is technically her guardian he allows her to be married to him... it’s probably been a year since you commented that but oh well 😂

      You *should* read it. It surprised me on good it was, and I ended up finishing the series. I’ve never finished a book series before.
