I was 10 on the Last Day of the Century, What a Time to be Alive. It was my cousin Ariel Stevens' 14th Birthday in the Eight Grade Middle School in Bessemer, Alabama.
On December 31st, 1999, many cities celebrating 2000. Not only in Time Square NYC, but also in Philadelphia Penn's Landing with fireworks display. In Cleveland Ohio, they celebrate 2000 with a giant light bulb on the building in Public square presented by First Energy, and fireworks display. Akron, Ohio celebrated the millennium at Canal Park with "2000" lit it up with dazzling fireworks.

We were all looking to the new millennium with hope. But in 1 year and 8 months and 10 days how wrong we were that the new millennium would be anything but peaceful.
We've already been to the new millennium 19 years ago back in January 2000. 2000 was the century leap year also. 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 are leap years. Next year, 2020 will the upcoming leap year as well.

It was the great scheme of the century (or MIllennium perhaps?). Fear-mongering which tricked and deceited (some might extorted, but since it's government it's "legal" right?) people into spending money on their technologies (computers, cell phones etc.) from collapsing (which was never going to happen anyway). Government, media and tech companies were all part of it and it worked as the tech companies made their money, which helped governments boost their revenues and which helped media in their ratings. And I'm starting to think the covid19 pandemic is ending up being the same 'scheme' and that's working too...with lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, quarantnes, mandatory wearing of facemasks, the pushing of vaccinations, The Great Reset hidden agenda
