You put them through something that looks like a wood chipper. It will remove the plastics and the metal can be recycled 100% (Ni, Mg, Co, Li, etc) - just need to do it on large volumes. The problem is getting the batteries to the recycling center - that uses a lot of energy and there currently are not a lot of recyclers - but just like recycling motor oil recycling batteries will become common place.

Oh, but I do feel that electric is the way to go for pickups. Tons of instant torque. And the majority of people who buy these new probably won’t go farther than 100 miles a trip, so range anxiety shouldn’t be too big of a deal.

They accomplished what they've always wanted to do a completely disposable of vehicle when the battery is done throw it away and buy a new one
Recycle them, just like everything else.
You put them through something that looks like a wood chipper. It will remove the plastics and the metal can be recycled 100% (Ni, Mg, Co, Li, etc) - just need to do it on large volumes. The problem is getting the batteries to the recycling center - that uses a lot of energy and there currently are not a lot of recyclers - but just like recycling motor oil recycling batteries will become common place.
Well no one knows for sure 😐 but while going electric is better for the environment 🙂the batteries are in the cars so I don’t understand what you mean by what happens to the batteries 😐? The batteries are the engine and you can just plug or charge it in like a I phone 🙂
