Good morning August, That gob of vines with a tree in it reminds me of my first big tree removal. My sister had three trees covered in vines so bad that she could not get a local tree company to climb and remove the trees. "I'll do it" I said. I rented an 85' boom with a 12' kicker and still had 16' of tree above me. It took me three days to cut and lower all the vine covered limbs and trunks. Worst part was the spiders. Big golden orb spiders. Invasive species, no kidding as big as my hand and there were dozens of them. I had to tape my pant legs tight to my boots. I had two franken saws and managed to keep one of them going till the job was done. I remember at one point a guy pulled up under the tree I was cutting and parked his car to talk on the phone. He got mad at me when I yelled at him. Smiling, George.
I've recently learned something about myself, I think I'm a stress-youtuber. When i get stressed out I increasingly turn to youtube to chill out, and this is one of the first channels i look for in such a situation. So thank you team Hunicke for the momentary escape!
Congratulations on the 3k mark on the Monkey Beaver. Woo that took long enough 😅 thank you so much for making these videos they do so much for the young working man especially when I felt I couldn’t open up to my old man /loved ones about tree man blues thank you so much for being my jerry barnek 🤝
Everyone please stop for a moment of silence for the lost GoPro..... 😔 Sitting here with a broken collarbone watching you and the crew having fun making hard work look easy..... again. Thanks August for taking the time to share another great video "sprinkled" with your little "nuggets of knowledge". 🤓 Keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🌲 Randy

You guys definitely have way more fun than you should be having at work, but that's what happens when you have a good crew of people to work with, keep up the great work and stay safe.
Well this remind me of me and the fellas at work. Sure lucky to have a job that can be speed lined!! Most jobs we can't because of so much congestion being infinite obstacles it feels like at times. We do a controlled zip line/ speed line most the time from back yards clear over the house if conditions are suitable.(Not recommended without proper supervision of a expert) we attach a pully to the Bandit chippers carabiner on the winch! From there to the excavators bucket that has a special U bolt I've welded on! Then around a PortaWrap! Sometimes I'll just use a old flipline gold tensioner with a carabiner to the u bolt. Then when I pull slack out it stays put. Put a tag on the limb being cut then portawrap at the bottom of the tree like you using it regularly 1 to 2 wraps depending sized. Climbing cuts limb. Ground guy holds rope on portawrap then excavator backs up putting tension on the road and pulling the Rope tighter which lifts the limb up then G guy takes wraps off PortaWrap releasing limb to travel down speed line straight infront or beside chipper. Hard to explain honestly but works great. Love the content August..also try the old flipline gold tensioner if you want on z rig or m rig setup to be a progress capture device so to speak. Works better and hold more then you could imagine. 💪🏽👏🏼🤙🏼💯
Enjoyed the video. You're a man who loves adventure. That's what life is about.....seeking exciting and unusual, sometimes hazardous, experiences. "To live, not just exist. 🙏
I'm glad you you film some of your shenanigans at work .was that tree still alive ? it was nearly covered in those ivy vines, heck that one vine could have been a tree.
Howdy August and Crew, y'all take the hardest parts of the job and make it fun. August with the assist Damien hits the three pointer from tree top level. Love it. Have A Day!
8:55 this would be a great channel intro bummer about Damien's camera going over "old stuff" again is great - reinforces concepts, sometimes rephrasing or picturing again can be what makes someone really get it. Thanks so much for a great channel!
If cutting limbs is ha-do-ken, i wonder what tiger uppercut, sonic boom or sho-ryu-ken would do :-). I knew there is a secret tree guy´s language. Love your kind of humor. I´d like to see a follow up on the ´fight breaks out on tree job´ video.
How do you cost out jobs? Just curious. I live in Texas where we have very few trees, so not trying to start a tree service business. But I am guessing that some of the jobs In your videos must run into the thousands of dollars.
Great video! Just a tip (which you probably already know); you can slow down equipment (chainsaw) a little better and have more control if you have it on two slings instead of one. You still wave the speed line back & forth but you have that much more control.
I'm pretty sure I know why you have them there but it's funny you had a bucket and a crane onsite and damiens manually climbing ziplining brush lol poor dude.(he secretly loves it)
That looks like the sumac that grows in NH. If your allergic to sumac it will mess you up. This stuff you guys are dealing with will it rejuvenate if you put a piece of it in an X's yard?
Will you do an experiment for this armchair tree student (born in 1943)... Take two straight trees of same diameter. Cut a humboldt face cut in each. On one make straight back cut but leave wedges in just far enough to remove the saw. On the other one raise the back cut entry point 3 fingers and angle down to make the hinge. Now find out if the angled cut will produce more top over effect than the straight one using the wedges.
Love the vids learned a lot, I’m a tree climber myself aspiring to take videos of what I do as well because you know, is there a certain hard hat that you love and has a go pro attachment? Would love some help especially from one of the best

That was some mean ivy... when log was cut, it hung on like it was part of the tree. So glad Damien enjoyed his high top moments.

That was one ugly tree. Crazy what that Ivy can do. Also bummer about the go pro.
May Damian’s GoPro rest in pieces lol!
Great video as always Mr.White
speedlining of the saw was insane 🤣
If a go pro gets chipped in the ivy and no one sees it, does it still make a video?
Boys playing limbdarts to the chipper. Thats funny. Mill some boards from that logs for the treehouse.
