This series needs to keep going forever! Can't get enough of it!!
yes to that, he's such a great teacher
Amen to this!!!!!
"Playing somebody same rating as me"
Understatement of the year
When there is a pawn on b5, you play a4 is one of Ben Finegold's rules.
Rawr!
True!
when you play a game, win it
These continue to be just incredible educational resources. You’ve singlehandedly reignited my interest in chess study after two decades of dormancy.
Yooo didn't expect one tonight, sick. Thanks for all the lessons Danya!
about the talk he had starting at 20:38 : yesterday i played a classical game where i somehow hung a bishop like an idiot and then i turned it into a winning position in the next 5 moves. granted, he made mistakes... but taking advantage of them is also a part of the game. it's never a question of elo when a position is or isn't crushing, even when you are down substancial amounts of material
Sometimes I wonder if the people who are viewing this on twitch have short-term memory. Daniel explains a plan and literally 30 seconds afterwards he refers back to it and nobody seems to give the correct answer, lmao
Are u racist?
Yes.
They’re too busy talking in chat
@@David-lu3ij I love this kind of random, off-beat inputs.
to be fair, they are twitch users, their iq might be limited
I've learned from Danya that the Italian game can be very tricky. Never heard of St George's defense. The more videos on the Italian, the better.
Okay I obviously don't know what the Italian game is
This!
@@walterbrownstone8017 Italian in e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bc4
@@zoichi_kanoe6227 but wait, is that what I saw him play? I better watch it again, maybe I was hallucinating.
@@zoichi_kanoe6227 Okay he fixed the title!
I love the way u play in the speedrun. So simple yet so thorough and meticulous
Your content is like waking up with kings preflop.
Masterclass! Well done Daniel
Fantastic video as always.
I've watched a few of the series and you've earnt yourself another subscriber
Thanks Danya for introducing so many concepts during a game which othervise would have been boring to learn on their own.
Excellent instruction, Danya! :)
Simply amazing teaching style. Dude had a calling yo….
Can't get enough Mr the DanyaSon!
I love that you removed the "please subscribe" message from your intro. It goes without saying you don't need that :)
This setup is really nice. I read it was a way to handle 1e4 ...b6 and so I adopted it. The queen often goes to e2 and the setup is very harmonious. Now I notice that it is similar to the "English attack" which is a mirror of that but on the other wing. I also like that setup a lot. What a coincidence.
Danya thanks for your content I really love it please don't stop. Much love from Nigeria
I love these!!!!! I won 2 games already just learning from you. So thank You!!!!!
These are very enjoyable
The hardest part of this game was to see that a5 was protected by the queen on h5. I'm too short-sighted for such protection.
Horizontal queen moves are systematically the hardest to see
@@antimatter2417 what is this system
@@tristan5951 backward knight moves, backward bishop moves, pinned pieces and pawns, sniper bishops/queens, horizontal queen moves
hey! i saw this game on stream, i prime subbed at 18:16-18:20.. apologize if my getting after you for initially mispronouncing my name was an annoyance. great educational stuff. love it danya, keep it up!!!
"Lets take with the pawn for aethstetics." Hah! Classic.
This series is gold 🤍🖤
"We're playing somebody the same rating as me"
His opponent: So that was a fucking lie!
I have been watching your videos for 2 months now. I just started playing chess. I have been able to climb to 1300 thanks to you. I would love to play against you sometime to learn more
Love your videos
Just finished watching Masvidal vs Covington, and now I’m treated by the Prophet’s video
Pawn mate was the correct play. Brilliant and beautiful
Thank you
Nice video friend
love
Commenting for the algo because i love my sensei
Danya love your content please can you upload more? I feel like I learn so much from what you say and would really like to see more(maybe stream vods or analysis). Thanks!
Hi Danya! Can you plz do a video on good openings to focus on for people with different rating levels? Thanks a lot for the quality content ..has helped me a lot in increasing my understanding of the game ❤️
I kinda wish black actually knew the theory for St. Georges
There’s theory for it? Looks like a troll opening imo
This i like u explain very welll
Right on
Hearing GM Danya’s thinking process even when facing a rather rare & possibly sus opening really helps my understanding about making my way to a solid middle game position🙏
This goes to show that you should never surrender
2:59 “Biting on granite” :) :) :)
Danya, this time you were the one who stopped calculating the tactical line too soon. You did have the immediate 18. Nc6 fork, since after 18... Qd5 19. Nxb8 Qxg5 you have the nasty 20. Re5!, Forcing the queen away from the g file and winning the tempo to get your knight back to c6, where it joins both the rooks in attacking the defenseless a5 pawn. In both lines you give up the bishop pair, but in this line at least you still have the very active knight, deep in black's camp.
Daniel still has a point though.
Hello St. George let me introduce you to my good friend George St. Geegland
The c and d pawns curtailed the black bishop also the whole game.
thanks
David Bronstein: the original Eric Rosen!
Danya, I know that is probably not the right place for my request, but could you please continue your puzzle series (and by that I don't mean puzzle rush) it is such an awesome format and so helpful!
Daniel needs to bring back moistcritikal
I just faced this st George's defense some minutes ago
Let’s go e4
❤️❤️❤️
i guess all of danyas moves like i'm in math class all over again, I'm ascending
4:48 bruh i even saw Nc4 i'm ascending
Why pawn C3 when compared to bishop E3?
guys watch the black king. if it was on g8 black wouldn't have these problems
I wish sensei danya make lessons about siciliano defense
Will you ever play the Colle instead of just facing it?
I would have felt a lot of time pressure
Owen’s defence?
I very much like Bronstein and Stein (Leonid Stein) games - not many IM/NM have heard about these 2 players, they were just brilliant and still much unknown to the public - they were like Rubinstein. I was following Zibbit, Rosen, never liked Rossman now i am following Danya Harris :)
Every IM knows Leonid stein
Not many IMs heard of Bronstein?
I think 2. c4 is even more clinical than 2. d4
11:07 Couldn't you just play rook takes a1? Cause then if the bishop takes your queen, you capture his queen with the a1 rook. Yes you've given back the exchange, but you're also 2 pawns up.
Edit: given it another second to think and hemantdce could just capture on f2 with check after you capture the queen, so you'd only be 1 pawn up all in all. Turns out the GM was right after all
Also ignores the obvious that 2 pawns are not equivalent to 1 pawn plus the exchange. 2 pawns are rarely worth the exchange even if they are equal counting piece value. If you're a GM then maybe you can consider returning the exchange in favour of pawn advantages, but anyone under 2000 is still at risk of blundering even a two pawn lead. There's no need to give away an obvious lead in order to be fancy.
@@DanielRBW A fact I find myself realsing only after I make the sac/exchange, then I think, 'why didn't I just play it safe?'. I've watched too many Tal games
What has this got to do with the Italian game? Mistake in title?
Daniel says we can take it easy we're up a pawn. I can be up a piece and stressed out my head, trying not to blunder and implode... amd then I do 😵💫
Good game. g4 would've trapped the queen on h5 forcing black to give up the light-squared bishop at one point. Also, the move d6 was a mistake because the black bishop comes to c5 in some lines after e6. Black has to play very actively after a6 b5 but was unable to do so in this game.
I started playing around 6 months ago and it seems as if i am stuck in the 1450 range, very frustrating😩
I feel like 0 up to 1600-1800, any time your opponent makes a blunder, you should also counter with some type of blunder or bad inaccuracy. To make for a more realistic game for us trying to learn. And then go over perfect moves in the after analysis. Great video as always though 👌 👍
GM Naro
Tenth lesson asking danya to play the grand prix. Why don't people play sicilians?

🤣😂😹#87th
Finally someone punished these bullshit ass openings.
Dammit still not first comment
Looks like this guy relied entirely on his opponents to panic in the opening, once someone doesn't panic he panics and fails to tactics even a 900 can find. Bit of a boring game but keep up the content.
Nice seriesbbut with all respect you don’t need to talk that much
