What you are teaching is available to the layman with a background and, thus, the world of aspiring agriculturist. It is important and it is of interest. I especially enjoyed, and promoted for you, the conversations you had with fellow scientists around the states.
Wow good for a cell phone. I am a hort. student in orlando Florida. I have been discovering soil biology and its inportance on my own unfortunatly. I am finishing my A.S. in 1 or 2 semesters and want to move on to my B.S. but I am worried that I'm not going to be getting the education I want. do you have any ideas on universitys that do teach these fundamental concepts
Julio while I do work at a university, its a rare school that provides one with a holistic education. We have become very good in compartmentalizing knowledge into little 'silos' hence the mess we find ourselves in in agriculture. I would consider looking at a major like ecology with a minor in whatever subject (e.g., soil science/agronomy) you'd be interested in. You may want to look at Nebraska, North and South Dakota, these guys seem to have programs that may be a little more holistic.
I was contemplating ecology but my major gole is social science so that makes sense. THANKS
Thank you !
I fixed my video settings video is clear as glass, sorry about the comment, lol foot in my mouth moment.
Buz - Are you going to put these in a playlist so we know in which order to view them?
Goodness, I didn't think that any of these talks would be of interest outside my class. Sure, I'll develop a playlist.

nice vid. I love it, but the camera didn't get the white board to good.
Thanks - I used my iPod touch to capture this, it was meant as an electronic set of "notes" for my class.

sir, please suggest some paper on C:N ratio in forest ecology or in urban forest to understand plant assembly ?
I'd start with this bulletin and go from there. Good luck! www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/nrcseprd331820.pdf
