What the what?! Lol!!! This crimp/crimp cover method just changed my life. I did not even know that these existed lmaoo If you would have seen how I struggled last week you’d have laughed at me. I made it work, but I’m so glad now, to know that I can make it better.
I am very, very new at learning to bead. I loved this video because it showed up close how-to crimp and how to apply the crimp cover. Excellent teaching. Thank you.
I love this! I make waist beads, and I’ve been hating how the stretchy cord does on them. My beads were too heavy on it so it leaves weird gaps sometimes. I think I’ll try it this way😊
Did it work ? I’m starting waist beads and I think I grabbed the wrong wire for it , I grabbed beading wire instead . Is that still good to make waist beads ?
Thanks for sharing! I'm in the learning stage, trying to make my wedding as cheap as i can, with being in a budget, nice idea for gift(s) for my bridal party.
This is an EXCELLENT video. I really appreciate your expertise and ability to impart clear easy to understand information. I am so happy I found you!. I subscribed and will be looking for your videos to improve my skills beading. Thanks!!! ♥
I honestly love this video been showing all my friends this easier way to use crimp beads an beading I like be this you should do more videos like this
I’m preparing for my first beading project and I’m wondering how you decide on the best wire to use? I’m making a simple metal beaded necklace, any suggestion? This video is perfect for crimping instructions, thank you!
Hi, I am beginning making my jewelry and wanted to know which thread would be the most resistant for gemstones. I used nylon coated beading wire and the necklace snapped. I like heavy stones and gemstones in my necklaces but I am afraid to use this wire again. Thanks a lot for responding.
I love to use silk when working with gemstone beads and heavy beads. It is super strong and allows the necklace to drape beautifully. You could knot if you wanted, but that is not necessary. You could also use Nymo thread, it is very strong as well. Just make sure to work with the proper thickness for your beads and get a good beading needle. You can close the necklace with one of these www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/H202187FN, but I have learned the hard way that the little loops often come undone or break and ruin a necklace. My favorite when working with a single strand, or especially multiple strands, is a bead cone. Here are a couple of videos on how to use one, you will need wire. ruclips.net/video/iYLO70jo4zE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/BOeqNYuQxLc/видео.html Happy making, please share what you make, and let me know if you have any more question. I'm no pro, but I do have years of lessons learned the hard way to share. ;)
Thank you for such a detailed tutorial. I learned quite a bit. When making your necklace, in regards to measuring, do you also include length of toggle or lobster claw as part of the measurement?
sunshine.janice walker Hey there lady, thanks for commenting on my video! For years I used needle nose pliers to crimp my beads and it worked okay. But I find that the crimp tool give a much more secure grip and looks more professional. Some of my necklaces I made with the needle nose pliers (most actually) are still holding strong to this day and have been worn many times. I think if you are making several that buying this tool is a good investment and gives your piece a more finished look. Also if you are making a necklace with a lot of beads and weight to it, or one that will be wrapped around several times, you will need the extra strength. A crimp cover is a nice touch too! But for a beginner or for making the occasional necklace a flat or needle nose plier should work. The tool only cost me $12 at my local hobby super store.
Sure thing! I buy mine from Hobby Lobby. Here are the crimp covers www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Jewelry-Findings/Crimps-Covers/3mm-Sterling-Plated-Crimp-Cover-Value-Pack/p/11641, and they are also available in gun metal, copper tone, and brass tone. Crimp beads www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Jewelry-Findings/Crimps-Covers/Silver-2mm---120-Pieces-Crimp-Beads/p/80739954 and crimp tubes www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Jewelry-Findings/Crimps-Covers/2mm-Silver-Crimp-Tubes/p/9689.
+Dora Duvisac I am using regular seed beads. the cheaper beads usually have slightly larger holes in them and I usually don't have a problem with them, but some of the more expensive beads tend to have a smaller hole. That is no problem until I have to run the wire through it at the end to tuck the tail in. If the bead is too small for that I add about two or three E beads to the end so I can run it through again no problem. I have even used delica beads using this method.
Of all the jewelry making videos on YT, I find yours to be most helpful. Great explanations about how and why you do each step. Thank you!

I’m preparing for my first beading project and I’m wondering how you decide on the best wire to use? I’m making a simple metal beaded necklace, any suggestion? This video is perfect for crimping instructions, thank you!
Love this video! I was wondering is it possible to use sterling silver wire? Or does it snap with heavier gemstones too?
hello how are you can you tie this beading wire like a knot?, or what do u suggest if i need to resize, like if I loose/gain weight for waist jewelry?
I really lie it. I learned a lot and subscribed. Thank you.
THESHOMROM thanks!

Love you video, what gauge of wire do you use ?
How much longer do you cut the wire to make say a 26inch necklace.Thank you.
Thank you for such a detailed tutorial. I learned quite a bit. When making your necklace, in regards to measuring, do you also include length of toggle or lobster claw as part of the measurement?
Yes, I add the clasp to the length. That’s why I prefer lobster clasp and added chain. It leaves a little room for error.
Yup love this. The how-to crimp perfect! Thanks!
Thank you. I like your tutorial. :)
Thank you ☺️
Do you have a shopping list for the tools?
Thank you
What’s the material of the metals please ?
What kind of wire is this?
I love your video
Thank. You great! Viedo! Iam a newbie
