    I don't think airlines understand the concept of "reservation" either.

    It's not really bad customer service as she is trying to be helpful. Bad customer service would be saying "Sorry, we can't help you." This is clearly a human error, which happens, and they are trying to do what they can. I suppose GOOD customer service would be to offer a discount.
