I can miss ALL the black Friday sales! I start Christmas shopping in July. For really close whom I get presents for, the max they get is: 1) one very practical gift. Could be long johns, socks, etc. 2) one personal gift..just for them. Could be a sweater they want, a tool, or such. 3) one "fun" gift. Could be a game, a book, etc. I started that in 2016. My other half was a bit disappointed, but as we pretty much have all we need, saw the frugality in that. I never spend more than $100 for Christmas. That's my budget and I'm sticking to it! As I cook all the meals, close people get dinner too as we celebrate. Have a great holiday season, and a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year, in that order!!
I use a small electric heater in the bathroom, I plug it in before doing business, bathing or escaping the world. Nothing like a hot steamy bath in the winter, not forgetting some nice ambiance music, sounds or both playing RUclips videos on my phone. Calgone take me away.
Nothing to do with Black Friday but am so pleased to see how your subscribers have grown quickly in recent months. Waiting for the 200K milestone! Love your work.
I wait til this time of year to buy bigger ticket items I save for throughout the year. This year I replaced my grill ($96), vac/mop ($102) and cell phone ($149). All were black Friday deals and planned purchases. Oh and Lume was 2/$20! I love that stuff!
I have not wanted kitchen small appliances, due to very limited counter and storage space for them. But you are convincing me to get the SS Instapot. I hope it comes in smaller size. And I like the hybrid solar lantern and folding light. Please continue to share practical things.
I was sorry I bought a small Instapot. I then had to buy a big one. I keep it in my bedroom since limited counter space. For cooking I do carry it to the kitchen.
I'm going to order the tire pumb. I live in a rural area, and if my tires are low, I have to hope my neighbor is so I can use their compresser. This will be a gift for me that they will appreciate! Normally anything bought after Oct.1 that I don't have to use immediately I consider a Christmas gift to me. I live by myself, so that is how I get my needed, practical, Christmas gifts.
Something I want (electric bike), something I need (water filter), something to wear (cashmere hat and scarf), something to read (undecided). I'm adding something to eat, lol (chocolateand pizza)!
. . . Happy Thanksgiving to you both & your Precious Familia...you both look beautifully vibrant . . . I did not know of the great tip of turning the muffin silicone cups inside out to easily wash them...and I definitely am going to buy, rt now, that solar camping HybridLight with your discount code....thx so much for your great tips & highly valuable help... God Bless... 🥰🥰🥰
I got both the Mammoth hybridlight and the Lantern, because you recommended them. I haven't regretted it at all. They are really great flashlight and lantern. I am glad you recommended the air pump. I've wanted one, just for peace of mind when driving. Thank you for doing the research and telling us about it. Happy Thanksgiving!
I love my Instapot, replaced a crockpot. Does so much more. Love the idea of the Opus power, and the flashlight and the lamp for the emergency shelf. Ditto the tire inflation thing.
Recently I've been using the Coleman Thermos. It is noted in the directions Not to put dairy in it to avoid mold & such. So my coffee has to be put in black and then after I pour it I add the milk & sugar.
We have that thermas and can confirm it’s great quality!! Thank you for always investing your time in these videos & educating us ❤ Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! 🙏🍁❄️ 🍂🙏
Our Market Baskets in New England have 20% off specific gift cards on Black Friday and one of them is Ulta. I believe there are 12 to choose from including Michael’s, Panera and Starbucks as well.
I'm from the UK so your links don't work for me but I used your list and some necessities to score some wonderful deals! It always feels like a big spending day even when it's all planned and saved for in advance.
600 watts or under. The higher wattage items will not run as long as can be expected. Look at their owners manual for estimates on how long items will run. The simple math is 80% of the total WH of the battery divided by the wattage the item hooked up and running is using. A 100 watt light bulb will run for 4.8 hours of the power station has a 600 WH (watt/hour) battery. 600 x .80 (80%) = 480 watts. You can only expect a power station to run about 80% of what it's rated as it uses some of the power to function. 480W divided by 100W (the amount the bulb uses) is 4.8 hours. I hope this helps.
Thanks for the great video! I love the idea of the Oupes power stations. I don't know much about electrical outlets, but can the Oupes be used in New Zealand at all? Thank you to anyone who can help. All the best!
You'd have to check with them to see if they offer the kinds of outlets you have in New Zealand. Off hand, I don't know. What does there website say in your area?
@@larryware1 Thanks so much for your reply, Larry. I really appreciate it. I didn't think to look for a NZ website, but upon looking at a company that seems to get these items to NZ, it's showing "out of stock" and the following message "Step Down Voltage Transformer required for using electronics products of US store (110-120)" So I guess that's my answer. All the best and wishing you, Hope and all your family a Happy Christmas! 🎄
I dunno if other viewers are like me, but when you speak of watts for the Oupes, I don't know what that translates to for personal application? Gotta be solar powered? (I live in the northern Midwest- daylight is limited and sunshine is rare from November-April) Will it keep my refrigerator running- and for how long?
Just ordered the shampoo and conditioner! I am using up the very last of my "old" favorite shampoo that is no longer available, and was just about to ask you what the brand was that you mentioned in a previous video - how did you know?
Does the Oupos come with a solar panel or do i have to buy that separately? Will the bigger one be able to keep my window unit AC on during a black out? Edit: I saw Larry's more in-depth review and it looks really promising. Thanx! 👍
You are so welcome. A large unit will run AC for a few hours. I don't try to run items with them that draw a lot of power. I use a gas generator for that purpose.
I have a $1 yard sale 30oz coffee and I'm going to upgrade to a 40oz. Might as well I'm drinking enough coffee and they're charging me by the container . $1.3? a cup . Just need to figure out a strong place to keep it.
Maybe buy a mini coffee maker. They have ones that can plug into your vehicle outlets. Or buy a huge thermos. $1.30/cup adds up fast. $5/day x 30 days is $150 a month. That's based on my "habit". Maybe yours is less?
Hi Hope & Larry and Happy (belated) Thanksgiving. Amazon's been pulling a fast one lately. Normally, if you're not a Prime member, you can still get free shipping on orders over $35.00 - well, now, they're sneaking in shipping charges even if orders are WELL OVER that minimum. I ordered a pair of hearing proection headphones that were more than $200 and they're charging me for shipping. When I saw that increase on my checking account daily tally, I contacted their Customer Service (which is overseas) and was told they couldn't do anything until the item had been delivered. We shouldn't have to fight with them to get the benefits of their policies.
I have to say, my Functional and Integrative MD says not. She said silicone is fine to use to store cold things in the fridge or freezer but not to use for cooking. I can see the practical appeal for those who use them though. All the best!
I work hard for my money and I hold on to as much of it as I can i don't spend money just because somebody says I should i spend money because I need to
Is your calendar, an actual physical book or calender to hang up? Or is it all digital? I want something in print that I can write on that I don't have to print up myself or make. Thank you!
It's digital only. There is a frugal tip for each day of the month and most of the tips are links to articles you can read or videos you can watch to get more information and ideas.
Shampoo already not available online but got one in store close by. Girl...QVC I never stopped at before. Got $30 off $60. Got Clinique All About Eyes for $28 and stock pot $55. $30 off and free shipping. I needed after mine was used to stand on while my son fixed the truck. I ran it over. Who looks for a pot under vehicle.
I bought the silicone baking cups/cupcake liners, but I'm wondering now how easy they are to clean without a dishwasher ... I wash by hand. Anyone know if they're easy to clean without a dishwasher? tia
With online shopping, Black Friday spread to Canada. However, when I look at the sales, they are of the same type and % that we find at other times of the year. At any time of the year, there are always sales (even very good deals) that we just need to keep a lookout for them. The reductions/sales mentioned in the video were not spectacular which makes me deduct that, in the USA, Black Friday, is not as special or as full of deals as consumers have been led to believe. There is a lot of hype for nothing unique about that day……of course there are a few good deals but there are some good deals year round. I decided to read on this and it seems, that since the pandemic, this is true. I fear that the marketing is of the FOMO type (fear of missing out) which is not a criteria for responsible shopping.
I have yet to find a coffee travel mug that heats any liquids up for more than an hour. I will be shocked. I drink tea and I bring a travel mug. Every single day the most it will stay hot is one hour. I may. it’s very hard to believe that it would stay hot all those hours. I don’t believe it. I wanna see reviews.

What a great budget amount for Christmas. Good planning. It really pays off.
Totally agree - sometimes you need to spend money on quality items. Love this time of year for it!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and thank you for years of interesting and informative videos❣️
Same to you, thank you so much!

Just used mine as well to take a shower. The rest of the basement is 62°F, a little too cold for showering.
I love my bathroom plug in heater too. We don't turn on our house heater until the inside is 58 degrees. It would be unpleasant to shower at 58.
@happycook6737 the part I don't like is getting out of bath 🛁🚿 or shower to, a towel and bathrobe heater, like either came out of dryer would be nice.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours ❤🦃
Same to you, Secrea.
I just ordered the silicone mats as soon as you showed yours and you said that they were on sale I ordered it. I’ve been looking for that thank you.
You’re welcome! They’re a great deal for such a useful item!
Happy Thanksgiving!
There's some good deals this year! I try to wait for Black Friday to make so many purchases, specifically electronics. :D
Something I want (electric bike), something I need (water filter), something to wear (cashmere hat and scarf), something to read (undecided). I'm adding something to eat, lol (chocolateand pizza)!
Save up for that e-bike. I really love mine and ride it often in nice weather.
Thermal type mugs are very purposeful. It cost to reheat or to cool.
Happy Thanksgiving . Thank you for sharing. I will be checking out the Flashlight and the lantern.

I got that same oupes off ebay for 389+tax the other day. I still want a solar panel for it. Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
It's a great unit. I really love the Oupes line up.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you !🧡🦃
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
Mammoth flashlight is sold out at company and Amazon. Has gone up in price since 2021! Love mine!
Bought jump box with air and flash light and usb c. Very small up to 12 volt campers on Temu for $108

Check before you buy the instapot because mine has a no stick interior which I hate. Some do come with stainless
Is there some soft of planner added to the your calendar?
