  • (Note: There’s a cut around 13:28 since my recording was interrupted, but not much is missed between it and the next clip, also 80% of this video is probably just the cooking menu so apologies!)
    Battle Start: 0:23
    Battle Ends: 40:23
Unlocking the Flandre Scarlet fight requires maxing at least 3 bonds, and while you can maybe get away with it on the story battle since it’s set to Easy difficulty, you’ll definitely want every character for the Lunatic version of her boss.
Basically you play the Touhou version of Plants vs Zombies; you have power that you spend on purchasing units like simple fairies or rare customers to place on the field, all while defending from the waves of Flandres approaching. Of course, this being Mystia’s Izakaya, you also have cooking to consider; fully satisfying a rare customer will “level” them up. The first level up simply buffs their basic abilities and makes them stronger, while the second one will have them unleash their super move, before resetting to the base version. Make sure to keep cooking food for your special customers and store extras to quickly level them up and unleash their super moves.
Additionally, Patchouli will also offer periodic buffs you can purchase with power, but apparently they’re quite limited on Lunatic difficulty, seeing as I ran out, so purchase them when you need them.
As for how this battle went, I definitely could have optimized it more. I forgot some of the tags for the customers and only ended up with an orange rating, and if I happened to continuously do it, I probably wouldn’t have made it through. The beginning and ending are definitely the portions you have to focus on the most, so place your units well.
    Tips:
Usually you should place your fairies at the front of a lane to soak up the damage for any rare customers behind them. If it’s early into the battle, go with a fairy that can shoot bullets to help with damage, if it's later into the fight and you’re handling things just fine, switch to blue fairies to act as a shield that can replenish its HP.
Fully satisfying any of your rare customers will restore some of their HP (represented by the hearts that normally act as their mood below them).
Seija gets double damage if Shinmyoumaru is the only rare customer adjacent to her, I did not do this because I forgot like a fool.
You should definitely store dishes for Yuuka and level her up as quickly as possible; her super move will cover three lanes and almost guarantee their safety during it, and her sunflowers will generate more power.
If you want to be truly optimal, save the steamer for Yuuka’s dishes and find an alternate kitchenware for leveling up Kagerou.
Giving Shinmyoumaru an “Aura-Bursting” dish will let her share her “Hero Mode” with adjacent characters, depending on the amount of power you have; if she doesn’t ask for something like “Small-Portion,” you can use the grill to cook a “Niten Ichiryu” with Honey and a Ginkgo Nut to almost guarantee a max rating (if you give her the type of drink she asks for).
With that, the only DLC left is DLC 5, which features Makai (PC-98 location) and the Lunar Capital (I do not know how Mystia gets to the moon). It will also be the final DLC, which is a shame, but I look forward to it regardless. And also towards the Aki sisters harvest game that is apparently the developer’s next idea for a game.

    Well done!
Do these have to be the 6 characters you have as your allies while not having your staff nor Sakuya helping you?
I know it won’t happen but I would love for there to be a sequence in which Yuuka would want to off Seija or Aya while they’re distracted.

Yep, you actually only need three of them to access Flandre's fight. And who's to say Yuuka doesn't beat up Aya and Seija after it's all said and done? I'd beat them up too, personally.
