Apple realized that the business model of the fitness industry where most customers pay for a membership and then never show up is something they could get on board with too.
Not just that, apple is going nuts this year, disturbing chip industry is another big thing, this quater apple is goin beast mode.

Agreed or the fact that you never use home equipment either. Like treadmills
Thats just badmouthing. If youre too dumb to unsubscribe after a month its your problem. Not the company offering the service, just like every company
Wow, why is everyone so negative about it? Everybody knows there’re free to watch workout videos on RUclips. But the time and energy invested to find the right ones with best qualities and desired duration are what flinch everyone from doing it. Plus, with the integration of Apple Watch and the ability to display your biometric data on the big screen keep you focused on workout per se.
@@aoterou true true but you get metrics which aren't offered in a lot of other apps, plus apple fitness plus is worth it when you're on the ecosystem
@@Jay_Script how come 9.99 a month is worth it when you have it free on Nike App and RUclips Videos , come on, you are now just being an Apple Fan.
@@omytupapa I take out the guessing work out of the equation when working out, Nike does offer it for free but you don’t see the detailed metrics on the Apple Watch.
You won’t see trends on Nike (unless you pay up an extra fee as well)
It’s all about convenience and integration with other Apple devices as Apple markets it, that’s the one unique feature other companies can barely do
@@Jay_Script i undesrtand and i myself use the Apple Watch it don’t need it to see metrics on the screen! As a note , there millions of videos on RUclips so why pay for the same when they are free, it just can pass through my mind unless you want to keep making Apple richer!
@@omytupapa If people want to use it, why do you care and so passionate? Calm down and continue to watch your free workouts on RUclips. It’s just a fitness app review. Nobody is putting a gun to your head. Will I buy it? No, but take a chill pill geez.
It’s a gamification of a gym experience, I LOVE IT.
I can’t imagine a better first impressions video for this service. Great job!
I’m so excited I can’t wait to use it! I’m excited to do the yoga. 🧘🏼 I love how my watch is integrated into what I’m doing so I know what I’m accomplishing.
I tried out the yoga for my first time, it was pretty intense 💪🏾🔥🥵
I feel like this wil be VERY beneficial for college students like me especially being stuck in the house. So like on winter break and stuff like that I see this being a great way to unwind from a long semester and re-centering the mind and body for a fresh start. Imma have to check this out
Yay for winter at-home workouts!
They’re the BEST, I love the rowing workouts
Not a fan that I can’t use on a regular TV. I only have the iPhone so the screen is so small! During One of the cycle classes the instructor wouldn’t stop talking about music festivals and concerts it was honestly so annoying I couldn’t wait for it to end, and not because the workout was difficult. I won’t be renewing after my free 3 month trial.
Thank you for a thorough review. It’s been comical watching other tech channels review the new fitness feature by people who never workout nor have any idea of how to evaluate effective workouts. I think you nailed it at the end... it won’t replace your gym workout, but the drive will complement it. I’m excited to use yoga and core workouts to my already thorough cardio and weightlifting workouts.
I’m actually surprised how mild this comment section is. Good video.
LoL
I think it’s because it’s actually a pretty cool service, people love ecosystem integration.
Me too. 80 bucks a year is a steal
@Cool Capybara you seriously don't know anything 😂😂😂😂😂
Bitter androider. Get a life.
I've had an Apple Watch for awhile but just recently started the free trial because most of my workouts are done outside and lately it has been really gnarly out. I tried a high intensity workout and it really got my heart going! I like how they have three instructors with different degrees of intensity, I tried to keep up with the highest intensity instructor but eventually had to ramp down a little. It was a nice change of pace and gave me new ideas for my regular exercise routine.
This service is really interesting as someone who simultaneously wants to be introduced to fitness training and has a deep love for Apple’s ecosystem. The gamification of exercise through ‘closing your rings’ is already such a great way to incentivize fitness through the Apple Watch, but it’s always needed something like this.
Great video. Really appreciate all the efforts you put in shooting and editing this elaborate intro..it gave a good idea about how to make best use of this service. 💯
This is exactly what I was looking for, nice review. Thanks
A few questions I have are: Does it work with any of the existing applications like Nike Run? Are you able to “compete” with friends through the Fitness +? Are there any “guided runs” where you have a coach in your ear motivating you the way Nike Run has?
Just bought me a series 7 and started my first workout and I’m actually kinda sore. I’m super excited to do it daily.
I'll start using it as soon as I get my Apple TV installed in my workout room.
Alas, the only equipment we have is an elliptical machines, as our knees weren't liking treadmills that much. I can only hope they add elliptical workouts at some point.
Excellent video...thank you.
I am excited to try this. I think this will be great for teaching me how to exercise with dumbbells at the gym.
For someone that does not have a TV or an Ipad, It would be nice to stream it on the Macbook Pro or iMac.
with macos big sur running on M1 apple silicon you can run ios apps
Yes I was super disappointed by this, with my iphone I couldn't aiplay my workout to the tv, seems crazy that I have to go spend $150 just to get my workout displayed on the tv.
@@mesh475 Hey just so you know, 4k Roku TV Stick has added AirPlay 2 and you can now stream it to any TV, you can find them for around $35.
@@Jeffman98765 not true :( you cannot use airplay on any TV. You need Apple TV
@@sleuthytv1228 Not trying to be rude but you are wrong, new Vizio TV have Airplay 2, My Hisense and TCL Roku TV have airplay, new Samsungs have Airplay, Roku TV Stick+ have Airplay added via software update.
Very informative! Thanks just picked up my first Apple Watch, and may just try the free trial out. 😊
I like this review, she is not a fitness die hard, just a regular Jane showing a regular workout, love the rowing, hopefully they have 30 minutes or longer,
Great job!
It’s also a no brained if you happen to have a rower...all I was thinking was House Of Cards.
Glad I'm not the only one haha. Whenever someone even just mentions it I immediately think of FU
I have a concept 2 and I think that will be fine too.
YAHHH HAHA! ME TOO. I was just thinking in Kevin Spacey doing that thing
Thank you for the detailed review. I especially like the Burn bar function!💪
I'm enjoying the beginner classes for now with 3 levels of activity shown. Some I can do the higher levels, some the lower. Love the shorter workout times, 20 or 30 minutes. A person can just stop at any time during the day and follow one. Love the cooldowns as well. The settings are pleasant, the trainers friendly and energetic. They don't waste too much time over-explaining the moves which is fine for people who have done classes before. For people new to exercising, some safety cautions might be needed, but personally, I'm fine. It's fun to watch the heart rate change, altho' sometimes my watch isn't connecting with the TV on that. I've changed to a different band for a snugger fit. Actually I think Fitness+ would be a reason to get an Apple watch because it's about health! And gym memberships (forbidden now) aren't cheap either!
Excellent navigation through the exercises!!.. anyone will be tempted to improve their fitness levels looking @ this. Great job!!..
I’ve had a look at the preview exercises, I like all the music tracks, and it looks fun, so looking forward to it when I get my Apple Watch.
"Please excuse the mess" ::waves at catalogue-worthy living space::
I meant my sweaty face after the workout 😂
@@vanessahandorellana You made a wonderful video.
@@vanessahandorellana Your space is beautiful. Is that a smart sofa?
Yes, impressive. That's likely one of the cleanest lofts I've ever seen. Like there is not even a single item on the kitchen cupboard :)
I’m using it right now. Did first class today. Still in the trial period. So so far so good. Thank you for this video.
Btw, you’re so gorgeous 😘😘
Thanks for the review -- it was pretty extensive (and looked a pretty good workout)
Very impressive, but I'm more impressed by your TV nook cutout!
Thank you, this was informative and helpful.
excellent presentation..what would be great would be if you could have 1 TV and 2 ppl doing exercise
I subscribed to this a couple of days ago and it’s brilliant! The dance workouts are so fun
This was a great review and preview. Thank you!
This will be great while waiting for my Tempo fitness system. I have JaxJox dumbbells, but following exercises on a tiny phone screen isn't ideal. I'll do this one instead. Thanks for sharing.
Impressive review, well done. As a journalist myself I know how difficult it can be to moderate a review while using the device. Which is even harder during an intense workout.
the nike training app seems the same and even has that exact same trainer and it’s free right now. i guess if they start charging again i may consider switching
Thank you for making this video, I live in an older condo building that has glass walls so to speak, and I like to workout in the evenings when everyone is trying to rest, so my fear with apple fitness is I’d be stomping around and disturbing my neighbors below me, it’s good to see it’s not like P90x for example where you’re going absolute bonkers working out, it’s more refined for lack of a better term, and that really fits my current lifestyle nicely.
After watching this video I’m going to finally take a plunge into virtual workouts 😃
Great review, I get the impression that this will be like many apple forays into new areas. First version seems like a great idea but will have a couple of little niggles, the second will really start to deliver once they have the information version 1.
Serious question... what advantage does this have over putting on a RUclips workout video and displaying my stats on my iPad?
I love betina!! She is my favorite!! I did my very first Apple Fitness plus strength workout and a 10 minute core workout with her on Monday and I’m still sore lol
Sore is good. Plenty of sleep = muscle growth so don't forget that too. Good luck!
I play Ring fit adventure as a form of workout and sometimes when wanting to get my workouts in on the go like vacations or wanting to do some workouts outdoors, it might not be doable, so this makes me definitely wanna consider getting an Apple Watch and do Apple Fitness.
that handle grip on the tripod looks very nice.
Excellent review, love it! Thank you!
Thank u!!
Great review! Which iPad stand was attached to the rower?
Thanks for your review...Do you know if you can attend a class with friends?
Nice house you got there Vanessa, and great first impression video.
Thank you!
I wish it could be used on the MacBooks as well. Maybe later down the line.
I was thinking the same thing!! Since I can't airplay it to my Tv, my MacBook would be the way to go.
@@shawndavismedia You should be able to mirror (or Airplay) from your iPhone (or iPad) to you MBP.
@@southbaycommuter That’s a great idea, except the only devices that show up is my Roku and HomePod for AirPlay. My MacBook isn’t showing up.
Edit: Also, I tried using the dock connector by doing it the wired way between both devices. Except when I opened QuickTime on my MacBook, everything streamed from my iPhone, except for the video itself. I feel like it’s protected in a way.
They are trying to sell those apple TVs.
@@Dinosaursof I agree, that’s probably the real reason I can’t stream to an AirPlay enabled streaming box 😭😭. That’s so like Apple for them to do that.
Great job with the video! Would you recommend this app if you only work out at the gym?
really cool vid! thanks
This seems like a really good idea... I wish Fitbit (AKA Google) would do something like this. I remember when the Xbox had the Kinect, Kinect fitness was really good and did something kinda close to this and I loved it.
My only complaint about it is that there aren’t programs. I’d like some structure like a 60 or 90 days program I can check off everyday. Maybe they will add this in the future since the AF+ is fairly new.
Now they have listened!
I enjoyed your Review of the Apple Plus Fitness Subscription. I have only just started my own Free Trial, but I was just curious to find out what others were saying about it!
Obviously with this thing being New, it will need some Refinement, based on our feedback to make it even better, as with most things. It’s a really Great Idea, because not all of us have access to In-Person Fitness Coaches to motivate us!
I am curious about the screen watch display when multiple people are working out together...
Do both watches display? Or? 🤔
Fitness+ is a no go, it has no ability to mute music so your stuck with the terrible choices that are probably permanently baked into the workouts, so unless you wanna mute the whole thing you won’t be enjoying the music unless you just don’t care, and you must have the new version of Apple TV otherwise your gonna be watching it on a small screen, it is not compatible with airplay you will get sound but no video, there’s no way to mirror it so don’t bother, these 2 things alone will be a hard pass for many users, a shame and a huge missed opportunity.
This has me looking at my S10+ a little differently. The integration with the watch, TV and app are really impressive haha. Great Review!
@@mancerrss at this point, Samsung just needs to work on timely updates before we get to integration. It's all quite frustrating 😅
Come and join the dark side brother. That eco system is the best thing.
@@DSN262 it's more than the fitness videos. It's the smooth integration of everything which has me interested
@@DSN262 Well I use RUclips fitness videos now, so no. I just appreciate what apple has got going on :)
@@DSN262 i’ve tried the fitness app and no youtube videos have those workouts and i cant play music while watching a yt video on the same device

Interested to see how this compares to Peloton app
What fitness equipment a beginner or average consumer should have on had prior to app usage? What are some of the accessories used to prop the various Apple products?
I was not about to get my iPad pro to link up with my apple watch SE. At least I know it can be done.
I like your home decoration style .it's fabulous .
Maybe next video like home tour 😉
Will be really appreciate.
👍😄
Could you please give a link for the iPad mount you used with the rower? I've been looking all over for it. Thanks, and great video!
It came with the loaner rower! Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
Does it take into account muscle group recovery when recommending the next type of workout you should do?
That would be a great feature if this was implemented!
Worthwhile video. Thank you
I thought that was an excellent video - thank you. I’m very jealous that you wander outside to a park overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, but so it goes. All the best to you.
Hey nice review of the fitness plus!
Very useful thanks!
Great review
Can my wife and I work out together and get results on the apple tv sunce we both have Apple watches ?
Those rowing machines are so awesome! Too bad I don't have the space/money for one haha
A comparison with NTC would be nice

@Cool Capybara just say you’re poor and move along no one cares
The nike training app is free and is basically the same thing less the apple TV / iPad support. Lots of free workouts of different kinds and the usual gamification of fitness.
I am 18 and currently about to enter college. I have tried many things, from Chloe Ting core workouts to just walking in the morning, and while these things have worked on maintaining my weight, I wanted a healthy way to lose it. This helped a lot!
Personally, my family got the pack that had this included and I didn’t notice Fitness+ at first, but I can say that I’m so happy I gave it a shot. I walk 4+ miles a day and finish my day either with resistance training or HIIT with a book I follow. But there are days where I can’t walk, so I use Fitness+ to do their Yoga videos and I thoroughly enjoy them.
I have only done the Yoga and Mindful Cooldown sections of this service, but I found both so useful for someone who needs a bit of motivation to work out. the instructors are friendly and I feel very motivated by them! I personally like Dustin and Jessica and I can’t wait to try out more modes of this service. It has helped me feel energized, which is why I wanted to work out in the first place. With weight loss, I definitely have seen improvement as well.
This will be cool with the Apple Smart Glasses coming out later
i have just started a new treadmill 10mins (1st day) do i just repeat this all the time for 10 mins or is there a new 10 min treadmill daily so you dont get bored?
I trust Vanessa with all my fitness tech related decisions haha.
I can't wait to try it once its available in Germany
So when I turn on the apple fitness does all this fitness equipment appear in my home automatically?
Cause all I'm seeing after buying this apple phone and TV is more stuff to buy...
Can 2 people workout together with both apple watches connected from different accounts ?
80 bucks a year is a no brainer. Especially since it not safe to hit the gym. 3 months free, so will definitely try it out. My gym offers their online version for 50 bucks a month. I would love to help out the local small business but I am struggling with income as well.
Seems workable and your trial looks excellent indeed 👍
Thanks!!
Can you stream from the iPhone to a regular tv
Can you do more fitness plus videos ?! You did amazing better than most ppl lol
Good review, but you forgot to mention when your watch stop reading your heart rate, all reviewers always forget to mention that
Betina Gozo, one of the trainers, was on the Nike Training app. She’s amazing!
Hi 🙋🏾♀️ I workout for a hour, doing two different 30 min dance videos and my watch and the fitness app said I only worked out for 30 min . How can I troubleshoot this ?
This looks great, nice one
It looks pretty good, and useful while we are all locked down. I wish it were included in the regular Apple One plan, though. The premier plan is a little bit steep if you are not planning to share the cost with friends.
That was a really good overview, I don't even have anything snarky to say.
I don't see why this needs to be a separate app with its own unique subscription. The watch is a device that's marginally useful for working out, but it doesn't need to be on the screen because it's already on your wrist. This should just be a channel in Apple TV+, it doesn't need to be a separate app and subscription. It just seems like a really cheap way to charge you extra money for what is basically just a video with superimposed watch information that's already on your wrist. I don't think its a bad product but I don't see it being worth the subscription. It would be better as a value-add to an Apple TV+ subscription.
good review honestly
is there a way that i can use fitness + in belgium? without changing apple id? I enjoyed the video 😊good job
Thank you!! Not sure how to work around the location issue, but hopefully they’ll be rolling out to other countries (even if it’s in English for now).

Great preview of the service, nice job! I’m curious when this will be GA for the rest of us?

@@jeetkunedoatlanta2464 Just saw that, updating now thanks!
How many rowing focused videos are there and how often will they be adding new ones to the library? Any options to track and compete with fellow Apple users - Like Strada? Can you talk more and show how it adapts and suggested different workouts based on your fitness goals and workout outcome. Thanks!
I’d say there’s about 10-15 rowing videos right now, but they’ll have a new one every week. No option to compete, just see where you land against others based on your HR.
Awesome. Thanks.
They will probably add more intense workouts throughout the months
They're dropping new workouts weekly *according to Apple
From what I’m seeing they’re all short workouts and very light exercises, in my opinion these are more meant for girls and not something to do if you plan on seriously adding mass and getting strong.
@@omarndhs this has nothing to do with gender😐 it’s meant to encourage people to work out in their free time, and the service has been out for a few weeks, i’m sure more intense workouts will be added.
@@omarndhs casual sexism much? I’m sure there’s a number of “girls” that can outdo you at the gym 😊
