@@GA-wq8xq Not as long as Apple keeps Airplay disabled for the fitness+ videos. Many people who were using Peloton won’t switch to Fitness+ now because of that.
I'm curious if there's a way on the Apple TV (or iPad) to allow for two users' data to show up and sync. i.e. if I want to workout with my spouse at the same time on the same workout.
So can I use on a MacBook? I don’t have an Apple TV? And would I have to connect the MacBook to my phone/watch because I have a different iCloud? Sorry but hopefully someone can answer lol
I am 18 and currently about to enter college. I have tried many things, from Chloe Ting core workouts to just walking in the morning, and while these things have worked on maintaining my weight, I wanted a healthy way to lose it. This helped a lot!
Personally, my family got the pack that had this included and I didn’t notice Fitness+ at first, but I can say that I’m so happy I gave it a shot. I walk 4+ miles a day and finish my day either with resistance training or HIIT with a book I follow. But there are days where I can’t walk, so I use Fitness+ to do their Yoga videos and I thoroughly enjoy them. I have only done the Yoga and Mindful Cooldown sections of this service, but I found both so useful for someone who needs a bit of motivation to work out. the instructors are friendly and I feel very motivated by them! I personally like Dustin and Jessica and I can’t wait to try out more modes of this service. It has helped me feel energized, which is why I wanted to work out in the first place. With weight loss, I definitely have seen improvement as well.
You need Apple TV 4K or an Apple TV 4th gen. Older models don’t work because they don’t run on the newer tvOS operating system and Apple disabled AirPlay for the workout videos.
It looks like it’s been a month since you reviewed it. Are you still using it? I don’t have much equipment at home and am interested in the non equipment workouts. Using your own weight and yoga workouts. Also, has anyone tried a cycling classes?
Haven't tried cycling classes because I don't have a stationary bike, but still using it for quick core workouts and cardio dance sessions. Mostly to supplement my existing workout routine which includes about 3X week outdoor trail runs and 2X week pilates.
Make sure it’s updated to the latest software update and then download Apple’s Fitness app from the App Store. Should be on the middle tab at the bottom.
As someone how's tries both.... There is no comparison. Apple's is a lot better for now. Samsungs is nice because it gives you your reps on the watch, but its VERY basic and it's more of a rep list than an actual class.
Hi 🙋🏾♀️ I workout for a hour, doing two different 30 min dance videos and my watch and the fitness app said I only worked out for 30 min . How can I troubleshoot this ?
i'm thinking seriously about subscribe the fitness+ by paying 10bucks OR just use the NTC as free. I spend 7days/1week at the house.. So i couldn't choose one between them. Apple's one is worth of 10dollar than FREE NTC?
It looks tempting to get, my question is, does it include Apple Music, or is it a total independent and stand alone service? I don’t want Apple Music on my devices. Thanks
it’s independent. You can use fitness+ even if you’re not signed up for apple music. They make the music from the workouts available in Apple Music for those interested, but that’s just an added bonus.
Apple Fittness is the first time sport stick with me. Now three years after starting 20 minutes a day I really feel much healthier than ever before. Mostly I think it costs absolutly nothing to get you startet. pull out a matt and lets go. Apple Fitness might not be special in any way. It‘s just that I hated the gym everytime I tried it and now I can really look forward to a 45 minute yoga session on a friday after work or the 30 minute hiit sweat at the start of a new week.
Really like the workouts - but REALLY disappointed that Apple is making us purchase an Apple TV to stream to TV set in workout room. Purchased the watch and the subscription but iphone too small to really see the workouts. Now to see on bigger screen I need to purchase either an ipad (then only on iPad screen size) or an Apple TV (newer version) to stream to a large enough TV set. Seems like a money grab from Apple!! BTW - Apple does let you see the 'Previews' on the larger stream through an Apple HDMI adapter, but cuts the video as soon as you start the actual workout.
Seems like Apple listened, the nest WatchOS and iOS update will include Airplay streaming! Rumored to be coming at the end of this month so just hang tight.
I’m not a fan of it at the moment. You can’t change based on difficulty level. All the exercises seem kind of easy for me at least and I never workout.
Many people are visual learners and need coaching, also wants to see their progress during workouts. The watch prerequisite is just to show the features the Apple watch has basically steps/movement count heart rate etc.
@@richdollars8337 While you can do the workouts without wearing an apple watch, you can’t sign up for fitness+ if you don’t own one because you won’t even have the Fitness app on your iphone or apple tv and you won’t be able to download it to your ipad.
I'm enjoying the beginner classes for now with 3 levels of activity shown. Some I can do the higher levels, some the lower. Love the shorter workout times, 20 or 30 minutes. A person can just stop at any time during the day and follow one. Love the cooldowns as well. The settings are pleasant, the trainers friendly and energetic. They don't waste too much time over-explaining the moves which is fine for people who have done classes before. For people new to exercising, some safety cautions might be needed, but personally, I'm fine. It's fun to watch the heart rate change, altho' sometimes my watch isn't connecting with the TV on that. I've changed to a different band for a snugger fit. Actually I think Fitness+ would be a reason to get an Apple watch because it's about health! And gym memberships (forbidden now) aren't cheap either!
Thank you for making this video, I live in an older condo building that has glass walls so to speak, and I like to workout in the evenings when everyone is trying to rest, so my fear with apple fitness is I’d be stomping around and disturbing my neighbors below me, it’s good to see it’s not like P90x for example where you’re going absolute bonkers working out, it’s more refined for lack of a better term, and that really fits my current lifestyle nicely. After watching this video I’m going to finally take a plunge into virtual workouts 😃
What fitness equipment a beginner or average consumer should have on had prior to app usage? What are some of the accessories used to prop the various Apple products?
How many rowing focused videos are there and how often will they be adding new ones to the library? Any options to track and compete with fellow Apple users - Like Strada? Can you talk more and show how it adapts and suggested different workouts based on your fitness goals and workout outcome. Thanks!
I’d say there’s about 10-15 rowing videos right now, but they’ll have a new one every week. No option to compete, just see where you land against others based on your HR.
There’s instructor always calls out modifications for this like knee injuries and one of the instructors in the does the modified version, but they’re more based on difficulty levels than specific mobility disabilities.
Apple realized that the business model of the fitness industry where most customers pay for a membership and then never show up is something they could get on board with too.
Not just that, apple is going nuts this year, disturbing chip industry is another big thing, this quater apple is goin beast mode.

Does anyone know that how to use this new feature on my iPad?
Update your iPad to 14.3
There should be a new fitness app where you’ll find it
@@sammoalla9698 there is no fitness app on my iPad after upgrade
On the iPad you’ll have to go in and download the Fitness App from the App Store... as long as you’ve updated to iOS 14.3 it should show up.
@@vanessahandorellana thanks for your nice reply. I cannot fine the Fitness+ App in my App Store, my account is in Australia, do you have the same situation as me?
@@XujieLi search “apple fitness app” in the App Store and you should find it.
is there a way that i can use fitness + in belgium? without changing apple id? I enjoyed the video 😊good job
Thank you!! Not sure how to work around the location issue, but hopefully they’ll be rolling out to other countries (even if it’s in English for now).
@@vanessahandorellana Indeed 😊
does apple fitness require you to have apple music in order to have background music during workouts?
Nope!
I love betina!! She is my favorite!! I did my very first Apple Fitness plus strength workout and a 10 minute core workout with her on Monday and I’m still sore lol
Sore is good. Plenty of sleep = muscle growth so don't forget that too. Good luck!
Very impressive, but I'm more impressed by your TV nook cutout!
I am curious about the screen watch display when multiple people are working out together...
Do both watches display? Or? 🤔
Still can’t find the fitness app on the iPad App Store, Apple support wasn’t much help but looks like there’s a lot of ppl with same problem, anyone aware of a fix or anything ?
The Apple Fitness app appeared after downloading the latest update to my iPad, iPhone, and Watch.
This has me looking at my S10+ a little differently. The integration with the watch, TV and app are really impressive haha. Great Review!
@@mancerrss at this point, Samsung just needs to work on timely updates before we get to integration. It's all quite frustrating 😅
Come and join the dark side brother. That eco system is the best thing.
@@DSN262 it's more than the fitness videos. It's the smooth integration of everything which has me interested
@@DSN262 Well I use RUclips fitness videos now, so no. I just appreciate what apple has got going on :)
@@DSN262 i’ve tried the fitness app and no youtube videos have those workouts and i cant play music while watching a yt video on the same device
I can’t find the app, where is?
I have an Apple watch, but Apple Fitness plus is not available here in Finland. ☹️
I can’t get the fitness app on my iPhone (7+) do u know why that could happen
I like this review, she is not a fitness die hard, just a regular Jane showing a regular workout, love the rowing, hopefully they have 30 minutes or longer,
Great job!
Nice house you got there Vanessa, and great first impression video.
Thank you!
i have just started a new treadmill 10mins (1st day) do i just repeat this all the time for 10 mins or is there a new 10 min treadmill daily so you dont get bored?
I play Ring fit adventure as a form of workout and sometimes when wanting to get my workouts in on the go like vacations or wanting to do some workouts outdoors, it might not be doable, so this makes me definitely wanna consider getting an Apple Watch and do Apple Fitness.
The nike training app is free and is basically the same thing less the apple TV / iPad support. Lots of free workouts of different kinds and the usual gamification of fitness.
Did Apple send you a rower lol it looks just like theirs
Apple sent it for a week as part of the review package, but it’s made by Life Fitness. It’s really nice!
80 bucks a year is a no brainer. Especially since it not safe to hit the gym. 3 months free, so will definitely try it out. My gym offers their online version for 50 bucks a month. I would love to help out the local small business but I am struggling with income as well.
Hope Apple doesn’t take away the Watch integration from Peloton because of this app.
that depends on peloton, apple will probably ask them for better deal or something but that's between companies
Apple will hopefully destroy Peloton, who are overrated
@@GA-wq8xq Not as long as Apple keeps Airplay disabled for the fitness+ videos. Many people who were using Peloton won’t switch to Fitness+ now because of that.
I'm curious if there's a way on the Apple TV (or iPad) to allow for two users' data to show up and sync. i.e. if I want to workout with my spouse at the same time on the same workout.
No multi user support yet, but that would be great! For now only one of your stats will appear.
So can I use on a MacBook? I don’t have an Apple TV? And would I have to connect the MacBook to my phone/watch because I have a different iCloud? Sorry but hopefully someone can answer lol
Interested to see how this compares to Peloton app
Can 2 people workout together with both apple watches connected from different accounts ?
How do you row correctly?
Good review, but you forgot to mention when your watch stop reading your heart rate, all reviewers always forget to mention that
Hey nice review of the fitness plus!
Do you need the latest generation of Apple TV to be able use fitness plus with your TV?
Can you use more than one watch at a time? Like can I work out with my wife with both our watches connected at the same time?
Hopefully Apple takes note, cause that would be a great feature! For now it will only display one of your stats
How do I get it on my iPad????
Make sure it’s updated to the latest software update and then download Apple’s Fitness app from the App Store. Should be on the middle tab at the bottom.
Could you please give a link for the iPad mount you used with the rower? I've been looking all over for it. Thanks, and great video!
It came with the loaner rower! Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
Samsung Health is also doing something similar so, a comparison would be very nice
As someone how's tries both.... There is no comparison. Apple's is a lot better for now. Samsungs is nice because it gives you your reps on the watch, but its VERY basic and it's more of a rep list than an actual class.
Can you do samsung health vs apple fitness
What rowing machine was that, looks really good! :)
There’s a Life Fitness logo at the foot straps so I’m going to say the Life Fitness Row HX after a quick google.
Is it available in India?
Hi 🙋🏾♀️ I workout for a hour, doing two different 30 min dance videos and my watch and the fitness app said I only worked out for 30 min . How can I troubleshoot this ?
Is it possible to download workouts to do them when you don’t have any wifi connection?
Yes!!
i'm thinking seriously about subscribe the fitness+ by paying 10bucks OR just use the NTC as free.
I spend 7days/1week at the house.. So i couldn't choose one between them.
Apple's one is worth of 10dollar than FREE NTC?
I am excited to try this. I think this will be great for teaching me how to exercise with dumbbells at the gym.
Great job with the video! Would you recommend this app if you only work out at the gym?
excellent presentation..what would be great would be if you could have 1 TV and 2 ppl doing exercise
I’m not a fan of it at the moment. You can’t change based on difficulty level. All the exercises seem kind of easy for me at least and I never workout.
I was not about to get my iPad pro to link up with my apple watch SE. At least I know it can be done.
You don't need an apple watch at all basically. It's more like beach on demand
Many people are visual learners and need coaching, also wants to see their progress during workouts. The watch prerequisite is just to show the features the Apple watch has basically steps/movement count heart rate etc.
@@xxrodrmanxx Again the watch is not a prerequisite .🤦🏻♂️ .
@@richdollars8337 While you can do the workouts without wearing an apple watch, you can’t sign up for fitness+ if you don’t own one because you won’t even have the Fitness app on your iphone or apple tv and you won’t be able to download it to your ipad.
what model and brand rower are you using?
Those rowing machines are so awesome! Too bad I don't have the space/money for one haha
Does it have to be an Apple TV or cannot be used on your iPad with your Apple Watch?
Yeah you can, now they’ve even made it where you only need an iPhone
Great review! Which iPad stand was attached to the rower?
Thanks for your review...Do you know if you can attend a class with friends?
Great preview of the service, nice job! I’m curious when this will be GA for the rest of us?
It already is. Update your iOS
@@jeetkunedoatlanta2464 Just saw that, updating now thanks!
Is it only in English?
The app is launched only in some English speaking countries. So I guess it is English only.
yes, for now.
Can you watch on a MacBook?
Sadly not yet....
Does it have adaptive exercises for people with mobility disabilities?
There’s instructor always calls out modifications for this like knee injuries and one of the instructors in the does the modified version, but they’re more based on difficulty levels than specific mobility disabilities.
How many times did she mentioned stat on the screen? 😭
Free workouts on RUclips like Caroline Girvan has kept me in shape for the whole pandemic without a monthly subscription.
