saw the video on my lunch break from cutting firewood. grabbed a couple pallets and literally in less than 3 min had a sawbuck that doubled my processing speed. all i can say is thank you. From a homesteader in northern Canada.
Fantastic video and ingenuity; the best things in life really are free. A word of warning for anyone who makes their own; ensure the legs are stuck firmly into the ground or place something heavy in front of each leg, as the weight and force of the logs to be chopped can make the stand slip. Maybe a bit of an obvious one, but thought it worth mentioning. I might just have saved someones limb!
Absolutely bloody genius! I take my hat off to you Sir! I thought ''there must be an easier way of chopping pallets'' in spite of me thinking I was quite resourceful I did not think this one up....... what a knucklehead I am.
this is PERFECT to make out in the field or on the job! You'll look like a hero if you whip-up one of these while everyone is pissing around and cutting logs in the dirt!
I went to the back of a home depot to find pallets to make a sawbuck. There were dozens but there were no two that were the same size with the same amount of slats. I worked with the mismatched pair but it required much too much work to convert the the larger one to match the smaller one and to have the same number of slats. What should have been a cinch was a miserable chore.
Good video. Shame the pissing adverts keep popping up to spoil the action. RUclips is too greedy by far. It should be enough having an advert at the start of any video and not keep obliterating the view of "know how" tutorials.
This is why I love RUclips. I have pallets. I need a saw buck. I'm lazy. This is perfect. Thanks for making this video 👍

That confidence on cutting without doubt of hitting a nail is fantastic!

I’d only add ... throw some braces at the bottom just in case” ... but yeah ... agreed
There is one thing I've always had plenty of and that's pallets. This is such a smart transition I'm going to make a couple very soon.
Love it, just what I'm looking for, have the pallets, will make this tomorrow. Thanks

Nice. and doesn't matter if you damage it while cutting your logs either, just get some more pallets to make a new one. Smart idea.

Such a clever idea. What I like most, is that he just used a chainsaw, no miter saws, chop saws or saw horses. Brilliant.

Is that a chinese chainsaw?
Yes, don't buy it!
Why?
Sehr gute Säge ....
Appreciate the idea but man, that seems pretty bad for any kind of extended use for real wood processing
I created something like that thanks to the stodoys instructions.
The China saw is not so bad.
Price performance is ok
Disposable Rubbish

the video takes over 5 mins js
... but he had it all cut to size in 2:56 and all assembled by 3:26. Some people are just nit-pickers!!
Going to be cutting into a lot of nails in that sawbuck.. no thanks...
If you want you can learn from woodprix scripts how to make it yourself.
Free... and €20 for a new chain (all those nails!)
