Poor thing, I reached out to Sedgwick county siren management about their plans for this siren once it gets replaced, would love to put solenoids on it and give it some TLC and a fresh CD yellow paint job someday.
Yeah I think it would've been a good candidate for a repaint, the blue paint probably protected the original paint from rust, and the gap between the horn and stator could be fixed.

Seems like they forgot to replace the horn support bar with a shorter one, so you have this mess and a nasty gap from the horn and chopper.
Now replaced by a 508 😢
