I find it offensive that multiple times these commentators mentioned that Boyd was sent off.....for kicking..but never ONCE do they say or admit that he did that in the open because he kicked the British player that kicked HIM first.......what is wrong with the British authorit ies? They STILL do this sort of stuff!
I don’t know why Boyd was sent off - shoulder charges were legal then weren’t they? Tamati did it to Hancock and Lewis did it to Williams and neither tackle had a send off.
@@jzkramer I think the issue was more with northern hemisphere vs southern hemisphere interpretation of the rules (and some slight variations). Head shots, lying on the man and holding them down after the tackle, hands all over the ball after the tackle was called were an accepted part of the northern game, but quick play and more "expansive" entertaining were the norm for southerners. This guys main fault was he appeared to penalise one team for one thing, but let the others get away with it, and picked something else for the other team to get away with (in this game, slowing the game down was allowed by GB, knock-ons were OK for Aus) He's also an amateur, a postman not a professional or semi professional like Australia or UK, as such he did a decent job. Was severely let down by the touch judges as well. Now I'd argue we've gone way too far in "speeding up the game" and making all the tackling as safe as possible, turning the game into glorified touch football.
Wayne Lewis, Wally's lesser known younger brother ???

His shoulder looked a bit further down the arm than im used to seeing.
20:06 are those side saddle types a euphemism for women? Funny to think how long we hung on to kicking it with the toe from behind like a man.
The adjudication by this non English speaking french fries referee has lots to be desired he wouldn't in my eyes be let to referee U/10s
every GB tackle head high
I am sorry to have to agree with the other comments about the refereee, he was truly abysmal.
Film clip put together by a clown. Some tries have replays, others no, especially towards the end. Some conversion attempts omitted entirely.
The appointment of a frog referee is total BS to keep Great Britain in these RL test matches.
What nationality of ref would be seen as naturally fairer? Do you perhaps need to restate your hypothesis ?
@@jzkrameran Australian referee.
