it almost sounded like Fievel himself, I absolutely love this song. It has a place in my heart because "Fievel, an American Tale" instantly became my favorite movie when I first watched as a kid in the early 1980's. Now days I cry when I hear it because it makes me think about my mother who passed away 1 1/2 year ago. I really wish she was out there somewhere for it to be possible for both of us to look up at the night sky and think about each other while being far away from each other. I miss her dearly. Ide easily give up absolutely everything I own and some just to have her in front of me alive, even for 5 seconds which is all the time we would need to hug each other 1 more time and tell each other "I Love You".
I thought the exact same thing. Fievel in the flesh...and the innocence just made it even better. Sorry for your loss, by the way.
The song made me cry and your words so much more. My grandma past way about ten years ago, but I still miss her every single day of my life. Sorry for your mom too. ⚘

I saw this movie in theaters with my stepmom in the mid 80s.
She and I bonded over movies and this song has held a special place in my heart since I was 6 years old.
