This discussion was both illuminating and encouraging. Taking the gospel into the hard places, planting churches there, and building relationships based on love and a desire to be a shepherd to those people God brings into your sphere of influence is a beautiful thing. Good to hear her honest drill down of actual new visitors among early crowd of 200 - instead of including volunteers and paid helpers to hype it up. Not studying the lay of the land eg culture and existing churches there seems common in church ambitions. "More to learn than give" is a humble reflection of early days that is so true but few admit.
