maybe you could watch the back to the future movies some time in between finishing season 7 and starting season 8. it would work because those movies were part of the inspiration behind the characters rick and morty

Bro I don't know if it's just me but the numericon episode just moved too fast for me. Like it gave me whiplash going from this fast paced episode to the next more moderately paced Big foot episode. I don't dislike it but it threw me off alot
Eh, if you look at it as the episode being a parody of weird action movies, it becomes quite fun, as I'm pretty sure that's the vibe they were going for when making those movies. Think about it, 2 main characters for the episode (goldenfold and water t) were allies/partners, but ended up falling out, so they have to work together once more to like save the world despite their differences, the weird enemy romance plotline, the fact that the female character themselves are also the daughter of the main antagonist, big war shit going on with 2 different groups of people, only for them to come together after their respective heads ends up falling in love, the weird artifacts they're searching for etc, all of these things are dumb tropes, and this episode is poking fun at them.
and we are back to the mediocre episodes sadly. 7 was decent, but kinda missed the ending. 8 is hands down the worst episode of the entire series. 9 was a bit better, but like 7 it didn't really do much. Season 7 had a few of the highest points and so many of the lowest points.
Honestly i feel like the reason u dont like sum of the episodes r because they arent lore, even tho most of those really good episodes (not the best) r not story related.
