I printing one at the moment using mostly LW PLA. Have you tried moving the CG back any as the glider looks like if it’s a fraction nose heavy with the pitching and wanting to fly fast?
I added “2 cents” nose weight on the field to get used to this little bug. Will start taking it out once I dial it in. Apparently, I have too much throw and over control… She does fly better than me … haha
@@geode_rc I will hopefully have mine built within a week. I will post some videos on my channel if you like and play around with the CG. Can I ask where you have the CG at the moment? Thanks 👍
Very nice project and execution Geode!! Seems to fly a lot like my non-printed L-Bug, but must be way quicker to build... Your flying site is ideal too! Saw a few real bugs there, but the one at 8:08 seems to have stuck around the longest, at least to me.
Nice job. So you can give it a fairy hard discuss throw. I can see where the extra ballast in the c/f DLG works like a slingshot now. Time to start printing mine. Thanks for all the hard work you have out in designing her.
Make sure you're using lowest temperature allowed for your covering film to activate the adhesive. Us "touch & go" to avoid heat build up on PLA. ..... Good reference here - 3dprintedrcplanes.com/how_to/
Beautiful plane and flying, a little more dihedral would improve the plane's performance a lot. Normally for a RE you would build around 20-24 degrees of dihedral, yours looks to be around 12.

@@torquedude Mine is ~71mm from LE. Very conservative one. RCG forum average - 71mm ~ 75mm
@@geode_rc thanks for the info. I will let you know how I get on. Thanks again 👍👍

Right on
Looks and fly's so nice. Having a test field with a dedicated thermal generator is great.
It sure is!
Looks awesome! Can't wait to get min finished and in the air!
Have fun!
Nice one man! Do you have any tips for covering over PLA? I did some tests on my own, but the plastic just warped like crazy when I did it.

@@geode_rcThanks man! I’ll give it a try.
Very nice! I will print your Manta soon.
Awesome! Thank you!

L-bug has a low aspect ratio wing. After maiden, I think the original designer make an excellent choice ❤
ดีครับ
Thanks for watching
Pretty cool now if we can just invent a super fast lightweight covering method I am so tired of ironing
That would be cool!
Nice last 2 flights
Bug 3D first appears at 0:05 joined by others at 8:09. Going to attempt to build the Bug.
BUG!!!! 8:15 😊
