In competition poomsae, obvious lacking of "zanshin" (concentration and focus that is), could get you a "kyong-yo" (warning). Repeated ignorances of zanshin in your poomsae could even get you a "gam-jean" (penalty point). Get too many gam-jeans, and you are disqualified. So to avoid trouble, keep your zanshin at all times at the start of the poomsae (especially when you chumbi at the start) and the end (when you do chumbi again after you do your form). On the last chumbi, hold for 3 seconds at least and then you do "baro" (relax). Not until then! Remember - the judges and ref are watching your poomsae so first impressions are important - and good zanshin gives you a good impression overall in your form. Also - even when you are told by your referee to do your poomsae "gibon oppshi" (at your cadence), try to avoid stalling purposely in the middle of your poomsae. If you stall, tell the ref that you had a memory break. The ref might allow you to do it again, and if you are allowed to, don't do the stalling again. If you stall again, you will not be allowed to finish your poomsae, and you will fail your poomsae by default for failure to complete it--and this can lead to either a kyong-yo or a gam jean as well. Hope this helps.
Strange, about the front leg. I do shotokan karate and Taekwondo, and in karate you keep the grounded leg bent when you kick so that your stance does not change height.
Just stumbled onto you channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Being involved in this sport with my son and competing in the USAT What you really learn is TKD is a very selfish sport when it comes to learning poomsae. Sadly most dojang’s only want to make money and not develop some athletes that show potential unless you want to pay for extra training, and even the extra training isn’t high level. Kinda sad to see you can learn more from RUclips then at the dojang! Lol
There are exceptions to the "no heel lifting" rule in poomsae. One poomsae involves a cat stance where the front heel of the front leg needs to come up.
Wait I didn't get one thing I'm an AFAB (assigned female at birth) (I use they/them pronouns) I'm 20 and I'm a green belt. But I didn't get what dobok should I have to wear Thank you for your answer

What dobok should kup grades wear in competitions? Can you get poomsae doboks for kup grades?
White standard doboks are the safest way!
