You are welcome. I invested a lot in it because I really wanted to portray the game correctly as much as I can to fans of the genre and newcomers. In the past I tries numerous titles in the genre but nothing really clicked. Although it took me some time until I got into the pace of the game, once I did I discovered how amazing it is. I thought it would be yet another game that will be OK at best and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. I didn't know that there are physical copies for this game, great to know.

This game revived my love for shmups and I am looking into so many. I will look into Radiant Silvergun as well. I had a feeling that hardcore fans, definitely those who play much more shmups than me, will have a different view of this game. It seems that it's not for the good based on what I read. But for me, I am having a blast playing it, but probably when I dive into other shmups (probably next week) I'll discover even more amazing ones.. I can't wait.

Just to give a few examples, Sky Force Reloaded, Sky Force Anniversary, Ikaruga, R-Type, Resogun, Nex Machina, Rive, All the Metal Slug Games, and Arcade space ”Classics” Defender, Space Invaders and so on. CYGNI however, is one of Konamis big failures in resent memory and it really pains me to have to make a statement like that. This game is all over the place and not in a good way. This is a textbook example that good looking graphics are not enough to hold together a game.+20gb of storage for what? must be the intro. and to ad insult to injury +30$, take Sky Force reloaded and Anniversary, those games are STELLAR when it comes to execution regarding graphics, level of challenges and fun factor. Cygni are just a complete mess, maybe if i had some sort of disorder and multiple arms i would have enjoyed it more. But not in it’s current state. Do not get me wrong, this game is GORGEOUS, but that’s not enough. I favorited this game when i saw all the screenshots, and was very exited about it. And i have been following it’s deveolpment closely as well If only i would have bought it on the Xbox platform i could have had a refund, now i have to suffer knowing this abomination have to live inside my Playstation game library forever. Pros: Really good looking game and superb graphics . Cons: Game Score (Music), classical music, in a space arcade?, really, REALLY? Speed, this is a speed demon, and that’s not a good thing (Maybe if it were adjustable) 2 million things to keep track of, feels like a Cod Modern Warfare Ultra Sweat Lobby . Nothing shouts ”Casual” at all in this game, this will cater to only a select few people. Stutter even on really fast hardware storage options with over 300gb free on internal SSD. Lag in the controls even with brand new controllers. Price. 30$, com on Seriously Konami, you need to do better then this! Not even a genuine Konami game
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, especially coming from a person who played many other popular shmups (I will check all the names mentioned, I want to play so many more now after I finish playing this game) . I was wondering about the music. After playing this game and reading other people's comments, I went to check so many other shmups that are highly recommended by fans of the genre. The music is more retro,arcady, and indeed a huge difference. But there was something about the Matrix-like theme of the game (Reminded me of the machines in the Matrix) that made the atmosphere mysterious it felt pretty immersive all around I have to say. I actually think that the music was a good choice as it contrast the high pace of the game but goes alongside the smooth movement and made the gameplay feel kind of Star Wars and cinematic. Especially in some of the boss fights, it was awesome (ruclips.net/user/shortsmUotSrn2vrU). But I can understand why others would have preferred something else.

I thought that I was the only one in love with this game enough to do that.
Already pre loaded on my PS5, few more hours and I'll be playing. Hopefully, they'll add more to this game in the future.
