      Focus on the fretboard mapping exercise to 8th notes to the backing track! A few months of that and you will notice a huge change!

    Completely aside from your guitar videos - from one Final Fantasy fan to another, how would you order the series in terms of favorites/most impact on you?
    I still love learning music from 7, 8 and 9 on guitar as much as I did when first learning.

    I have a request :) is there any chance you could go through the first 5 things you would recommend learning in order, so me and many others can learn to shred with an exercise or 2 for each?
    I'm sick of only being able to play basic chords 'x)

    Once I get another guitar, which will be another Ibanez I will be getting lessons or at least practicing your tabs. I took guitar class in high school but I haven't touched a guitar in almost 8 years.

    Hi Jacky, you reference this exercise in your Insane shred in one hour practice schedule. 5 minutes isn't enough to do all the notes, so can you confirm that we're supposed to do different notes each time we do the schedule? Otherwise we'd be getting REALLY good at finding C's but really bad at finding F's :)

      Yes, change it up, same with intervals :). I just kept it 5 mins to keep schedule under one hour but do more if you have time! Do you mind if I use your quote for my mailing list? I can leave your name out. Thanks!

    Bro thanks for this!! Quick q, im a avg player started at 12 taking boring lessons for 3yrs played i few metal bands and gigged during highschool. Well im 28 now...lol after many breaks i work a full time job now but want to take this more serious. Are lessons worth the time at this point or is online/ noodling going to pay off? Anyways you rip never stop\m/
