If korean media and idols stop glorifying 100pounds as being the prettiest, then more kids would have higher self-esteem and less depression. Diet aside, just a tip from a rice paper maniac: dipping rice papers in luke warm water will do the job 😅 The time it takes for the rice paper to soften will help you to prepare the fillings. Scalding hot water will make it easier to break. We sometimes even use cold water cause it actually doesn't really matter, it just depends on the dishes you're using them for

I think koreans perspective in proper diet and ideal body is sooooooooooo crazy. 50 kilos are not fat, if you weigh more than 50 kilos doesn't mean you are fat and ugly. As long as you are eating the proper diet-- balance in veggies, meat and fruit and getting a regular check up from a doctor saying you are healthy then you are good.

I would love to see a case study of how high the percentage of eating disorders are in Korea. I think the percentage of eating disorders are pretty high. I've seen videos of people saying if they think they are fat etc, and usually they always say "I'm on a diet all year round", and they have tried different diets. I used to have an eating disorder and it looks like most of them do. But I've also seen that some people thinks it's too extreme and does not care as much. I think it depends on person to person, but in my opinion I think body image is very high in South Korea.
just remember that if you want to start a diet, choose one that you can do in a long term and can fit with ur lifestyle , if you can also include exercise then do it or else all the weight you lose will just come back, worse 2x more than ur original one

Also to eat lots of protein and build muscle while losing fat mass so that you can be less restrictive with your diet and maintain your body while having a toned look too, would definitely say one can achieve the toned look with weights. Cardio doesn’t do much compared to weights. Please please please don’t work out with unhealthy standards, understand how your body works, how it reacts to food etc. It’s a process and it’ll take time but you’ll always reach your goals and maintain them if you have healthy and realistic outlook when it comes to your body. A diet like this long term will slow you metabolism down… and you don’t even lose fat, you lose a lot of water weight and even muscle. Building muscle and eating enough will give you a faster metabolism so you can eat more without gaining weight.

I gained 15 kg in quarantine, and honestly I'm not anxious and sad like I was when I gained weight before , and I'm on a standard diet now with a good nutritionist and I'm gonna lose 15 kg in 5 months which I lost it in just 2 months year ago and that was horribleeee and of course because it wasn't healthy I just keep gaining and losing constantly! Plz be careful with your health and don't try diet you think it's short-term
15 kg in 5 months is still a lot and would require quit a bit of a caloric deficit... you would have to be quite heavy to begin with if your nutritionist thinks this is an acceptable amount to lose in only 5 months... Usually aiming to lose 0.5 kg (or less) in a week is more recommendable because it does not require such a huge caloric deficit.

Koreans idols like Jessi, hwasa, etc are setting new standards about body appearance and confidence. If korean media and other celebrities stop glorifying being 100pounds as being the prettiest, then more kids would have higher self-esteem and less depression. I heard depression is severe in korea and kids try these insane diets then end up in the hospital. This program could have opted out her saying shes overweight because she's like 105lbs

more like eat balance food, but a lot of korean actress only do light exercise and diet like these, because if they gain muscle it will ruin some of their image in particular drama / movie and it's faster to drop their weight in just 7 days, some idol can't even eat anything including water 🙄 because they need to lose weight literally under 50kg (since with exercise you gain weight but you got holly mama body shape tho) i read and watched some of korean beauty standard, over 50kg means you're FAT
