One of the most viewed videos for me, it's amazing. I will use this scheme for the painting challenge, as close as I can do with the colours I have. At least I will try the basic idea and the how to paint process, still couple more times to watch before I manage to finish her 🤗

@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Hello Juan, I tested your tuto and... I don't have same results XD. Can I ask you a question: the white (Apothecary), do you add some medium with or you just paint directly out the paint bucket? Maybe you already said it, but i'm French so i don't understand all your comment. Thank you! :)
Good work on the white armor. What I noticed as you worked was how good mechanicus gray looked before the templar, as just gray and red on white. I wonder if there's potential there.
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures What are your thoughts on using basilicanum contrast paint on it instead of nuln? I find it gives a less aggressive black than Black Templar that might work.
@@TheGravespawn fpr armour I prefer my custom mix of Black Templar and Medium, Basilicanum has a tone I don't like for armour. Basilicanum has a bit of white pigment and it's not 100% transparent. You can definitely use it to shade the Mechanicus though, that can work very well
Loved it! May I inquire, I noticed it seems you may rebottle your citadel paints - can you talk about that a bit? What bottles do you use? Do you do this to help provide more accuracy in your mixing ratio recipes? Do you have any videos about how you do this?

Great paint job, but I can't get over the fact that it looks like she has toiletpaper stuck to her foot xD its just how the mdel is but still, don't understand why they did that.

Using a large brush, the bigger the brush the more paint it will gather and the longer it will stay wet. Avoid ridiculously small brushes, those are useless

I did the armour already, as for the rest I will probably do one at some point but you can easily find all the missing bits (Gold, Red, White, Blue lenses) in other of the Eavy Contrast videos or in separate ones like the Gold Arnour
I just don't like it, I'm talking about pure blue of course. It's a colour that glazes very badly for Highlights as the only way to make it lighter is adding White into it
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures thanks very much! Huge fan of the channel btw. I'm struggling to get white right these days and your videos have really helped me. If you ever did any 5th edition high elves that would help me even more ;-)
Glad I could help you! I have a high elf army myself but I won't do any videos on them. For several reasons, one is that old miniatures get almost no views and secondly and most important, I paint armies when I cannot record videos 😂
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures no worries, I understand your reasoning. But it's a shame about lack of views because I'm part of several large old army communities and I know they'd love to see more older stuff being painted up in these channels. Especially with all the new techniques and skilled RUclipsrs these days. But as you say, must just pale in comparison to newer gamers and people on RUclips who are into new stuff.
It's just what it is. Less people are likely to go into RUclips and look for "how to paint high elves" than "how to paint Lumineth" just because one army is 20 years old and the other just came out. All my armies are middlehammer, that's what I love but I also love painting the newer minis because they are just a delight to paint
I love the painting of the model, except for the "soiled toiletpaper"-color for that soggy paper she has under her foot holding her up in the sky. I guess even a saint needs to visit the toilet :D

And no,no vehicles or terrain. I personally hate painting large models
Can we get an Eavy Contrast Grey Knights addition! new painter here
I did the armour already, as for the rest I will probably do one at some point but you can easily find all the missing bits (Gold, Red, White, Blue lenses) in other of the Eavy Contrast videos or in separate ones like the Gold Arnour
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures oh i just found it love your painting!
@@wil8438 happy to help!
Why do you not like to paint blue?
I just don't like it, I'm talking about pure blue of course. It's a colour that glazes very badly for Highlights as the only way to make it lighter is adding White into it
Sorry if you get asked this a lot, but what brushes do you use?
Rosemary and Co Series 33 size 3 and 4
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures thanks very much!
Lol, I personally prefer that to the horrible plastic flying stands myself
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Yeah, I can see what you mean :)
Stop making awesome paint jobs and making it difficult for me to choose a scheme you beautiful painter you!
Do like me, DO THEM ALL!
And here i am not being able to paint eyes...
At least I wasn't smug about it
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Everytime i try to paint eyes i gotta redo the whole face cuz i mess up....
Try painting the eyes first an cleaning up with your fleshtones
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Yea my new bunch of Sororitas will arrive in a few days i´m definently trying to get the eyes right this time !
