    It's comforting to know that a hospital of this size has a plan for emergencies, that plan being "I asked everyone at the last second to take on a massive responsibility."

      Yeah and why take a department head away for this plan... like why do we not have like, we'll you know, dedicated staff for this purpose such as facility managers supervisors ect lol

      rubber shoes make a good insulator, but it doesn't always help in instances of high voltage, that being said, making sure the electrified water didn't reach anyone was a good countermeasure because in the moment, i'm sure they all didn't know if everyone was wearing rubber sole shoes. in an actual patient setting a lot of those patients would be in rubber bottom socks (non slip) and would still be at risk, so there could have been a disconnect in directing as well

    Having been in a similar situation many times I can tell you this is the only thing you can do. You can’t bring people in from outside not when the storm is at its peak. You may be putting them in danger and then you have to answer for that it’s a difficult position and I’ve been in that position an,d it’s not one I wish on anyone.

    Carbon monoxide doesnt act that fast. Also why is there even a tiny pipe running that through a stairwell
