you should try using the cutter only next! some tips(for all playthroughs) - attempting to aim the cutter/mining laser narrows the beam, decreasing the time taken to mine resources - joining the UC vanguard grants you access to the best ship weapons in the game - shielded cargo holds and signal jammers allow you to make a lot of money by selling contraband to the trade authority or pirates - just like with ship combat, lasers do more damage to non-organic enemies(robots and turrets) and less to organics - EM damage acts like fatigue damage in Oblivion, allowing for stunlocks - new game plus has variations in quest progression via unique dialogue choices or a random alternate version of Constellation that for most of them skips the artifact collectathon - weapons that have the prefixes "calibrated" "refined" "advanced" and "superior" are statistically better than weapons that do not have a prefix, with them being listed here in ascending order
My first play through I got hard locked in combat with the first settlement because I decided to kill all the miners at the start and was immediately labeled as a criminal with contraband before I could even visit the first city
If you're wondering the voice actor for Ron is the same guy that did the voice lines for the guards of elder scrolls 4 oblivion so technically this guy is from that game lol
@@WillowPlaysGameswhen you found out that Bethesda actually locked a main quest due to a companion quest being active Me "okay what the hell is this crap Bethesda?"
You kind of can win the Hunter fight, even on very hard. But it takes a lot of med packs and ammo. You need to just damage him until he disappears in each section the he pops up. Ends up being about 5 times.
"By selecting the dialogue choices you think the person you're persuading wants to hear." Me, who was raised by a violent narcissist finally putting my powers to good use 😎
if you want to manouver faster, like a ship has just flown above you, if you reduce your speed to the white area on the speed gauge, you manouver faster then when at full speed
Do you record your voice overs by each separate clip or make all of your clips, piece them together, and voice over it all afterwards? Great videos man, love your challenges!
You mentioned E:D, so I watched for a few minutes to see if you noticed: there is a button to go FA-off in Starfield. On controller it's right bumper but for you it would be... space bar I think? Anyway, it will show a yellow "Thrusters" on the center of the screen and you'll feel the old, familiar coasting feeling as you flip around and let your turrets mow through 5 Va'runn and scatter their ashes over Serpentis V.
I know this gets brought up in a lot of the videos but I think its just funny that all the Bethesda games have special caveats in the rules for when the game inevitably gets a bug
Pistols are amazing in starfield, and while sure, nothing beats the good ol' rifle (beowulf), they feel nice to use and I always had one to pop enemies midrange
Gotta take into account. This was a blind playthrough, I had no idea how good pistols were going to be. So yeah, it was easy but it wasn't like there was some easy way to know a good challenge. But yeah I enjoyed the run quite a bit?
@@WillowPlaysGames was real fun! Having NG+ x3, I'd say try only using shotguns, that could pose more of a challenge if we go with ranged weapon class. A no kill run would be most interesting tho I think, but with a twist - you can only use guns which were modded into non lethal, not the default non lethals (they are worse, but would be more entertaining I feel)
You can save both universes if you read the dead Raphael’s slate and the one provided by the computer in the “good” universe and degauss both universes then switch everything on. Set the frequencies correctly and it’ll change the objective
I play almost always with pistols, those are my favorite weapons in the game, got 3 purples I switch between last play through, just sad you lose all your stuff when you go into another ng+
30:40 You hurt your back doing voiceover? I know the feeling, I hate it when I stub my toe and can't swallow food for the rest of the day. Seriously how the hell did you manage that?
Fun fact : your companions only need one round of ammo to fire their weapon forever so if you give them a weapon you only need to give them one round or if you are in a pinch and have a gun with the same ammo type as your companion you can take almost all their ammo.
Im waiting for someone to try to beat starfield as someone from mass effect like tali'zorah garrus or good old shepard or by just mining aka the cutting laser Also i wish you can have someone else fly your ship or if threats are around any turrets you got while your on a planet will fire at the threat
was a blind playthrough, had no idea if the pistols would be trash before I started. You're right but just giving reasoning. next run on this game will probably be brutal.
@@WillowPlaysGames fair try eon only or no upgrades with weakest pistol for next challenge run for a real challenge since cutter with laser rank 4 can kill anything in seconds
I didn't hate it I just found it to be a lazy rip off of something that was done way better. It was one of the better quests in the game but I just felt as though it didn't do anything new with the formula they ripped off front Titanfall 2. It had potential and it felt wasted. They could of added something like other starborn showing up and chasing you through the two universes. Or honestly just more enemy variety. There were only 3 enemy types in the entire thing.
Good run but honestly disappointed in your response to Sarah's companion quest. It's a really good quest that gives some context behind why she's the way she is and her fears for the future given everything that's happened.
It didn't capture me and the way it was implemented was shitty. Having companions pull you aside in between EVERY mission to dump 5-10 minutes of dialogue doesn't interest me.
My lawyering side activated. In your challenge run criteria, you should specify that **all** use of console commands will be shown in the video. I know it sounds unnecessary, but it will encourage yourself to minimize console commands and it forces you to consciously take the viewers' opinion of your actions into account. Or you're already doing this, in which case we will know this is happening. Theoretically, without the addition of this clause, you could use console commands in bad faith (outright cheating or just sleazily abused) and simply hide them with editing. If found out, you would have then have the excuse that it was legitimate and you edited it out because it was to minor to discuss.
I stream these runs, if I use console commands I ask my chat. In fact there was a bug in this run I could of solved with console commands and decided not to.
This is exactly how I played my first playthrough, hardest difficulty-pistol wielding- Han Solo cracking-mad lad adventures

"Brigette Irons" ha I get it... CAUSE THEY'RE AIN'T NOTHING LIKE A BIG IRON ON THE HIP
Would love to see a run where you can only use items and ammo you buy from vendors in Skyrim starfield or fallout
Willow you're popping off, keep up the good work
Thank you! Will do!
I can't watch this as I haven't finished playing through myself, but I will be back as soon as I have!
I found you a week ago and you are quickly becoming a favorite of mine
Yessir willow getting that starfield bag. Ty for the bangers and good luck on your future runs☺️
thank you!

ah, I think running is better, ammo expensive
You get a blue weapon out of it but you're right, it is absolutely not worth the ammo.@@WillowPlaysGames

You should retry this challenge with the update Starfield had and make your way to Cheyanne to get one of the best pistols in game
You can save both universes if you read the dead Raphael’s slate and the one provided by the computer in the “good” universe and degauss both universes then switch everything on. Set the frequencies correctly and it’ll change the objective
This is very coincidental because my first and current starfield character is a stealth pistol class and I deal about 1500 dmg average somehow
I play almost always with pistols, those are my favorite weapons in the game, got 3 purples I switch between last play through, just sad you lose all your stuff when you go into another ng+
The ship combat reminds me of an Xbox 360 game called "Dark Star One"
Oooh Skyrim innnnn SPACEEE!
Sounds like the aliens from DBZ abridged father of goku movie "I can see the future"
Oof, this seems like a long and grueling challenge. Thanks for doing it and for summarizing the plot of the game!
glad you enjoyed

wasn't while doing voice over. like mid voice over. did the voicing over two days, end of first day I hurt my back in an unrelated incident.
