So far the best way I’ve found to install those teeny tiny links, A pair of needle nose, pliers, grab from the side, not covering the hole, lay the N link on your finger, placed the washer over the post, holding with pliers now with the thumb on the hand it’s resting on the first finger press with the thumb and pliers, once it started, just use two thumbs in a finger behind and press. I hope that makes sense after four planes. This is the best way I found so far. Thanks for the video, was helpful.
It sure flies different than my crack Laser. Such a slow flyer. Its like everything happens in slow motion. We have a club meet at the local gym every friday and at least half are flying the click 21.
Yes, I got pretty frustrated with all the tiny tiny parts. I ended up buying a magnetic sweeper. And still couldn't find one of the parts, ended up ordering them from Amazon. Slightly bigger, but way easier to use. I hardly think it added enough weight to make a difference.
We have guys at our club who really enjoy the building and make planes for other members. I really like the build process but I get how some don't have the time/setup/patience for it.
@@RCwithJim Jim I think I saw your name on the sign in sheet at our indoor fly. BTW I'm over my frustration with foamies. Lol I have another TH laser lite coming this week and another receiver since I actually plan to make another one after the green laser is done.
Where did you get that blue straight edge? I just finished my Clik and used UHU POR Styrofoam Adhesive, worked great. Not a big fan of CA's because of my health. Great job/video.
Yes, a typical build like this takes me about 3 hours of solid work. Some models go faster, using CA and kicker also speeds it up, although I prefer Foam Tac.
Finished mine... Flies great! Like a mini pattern plane. Knife-edge takes little to no rudder, even down rudder! Stalls pretty realistically and will spin but not flat spin... Down-lines are not too fast... It can handle a little wind, but not nearly as much fun to fly as dead calm.
@@WaltherBachmann I really like Foam Tac. But I also use superglue (CA) as well. Check the description for a link to the updated (and much better) video.
I really enjoyed the build, although I joke about the end links, it wasn't overly hard to complete. If I can do it, anyone can! The final product is really the thing. It flies like nothing else I've had... So smooth and floaty.
With out these builds on RUclips there instruction are piss poor I got the edge 540 V3 XL there nothing that is any help There on line manual is just sooooo pooooooor
Thanks for not deleting this video even after making the newer one.

Good Job on the video Jim
Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Used it for my build and it turned out great!
That's awesome! How are you liking the plane?

Great video!
Thank you for the commentary! About to start mine and I really liked your video. Thank you.

Yeah, I just started on my second foamy. A laser 200. This is going to be the last foamy I make. To frustrating!

It is a safety ruler for vinyl cutting. I think it was from uscutter. Glad you liked the video!
Any guess at how much actual time it took you in building time?

@@RCwithJim thanks for the detail! I know I'll be using foam tac, definitely worth the extra effort.

whats the name of the glue?

built mine over grease proof paper, lol, no stick to the board
Yikes! A nightmare build. 😢
