I didn't even realize for one sec it could have been the wrong key passcode!!! Friggen roommate changed it and I forgot to ask for the new one.... What do I do if my "radio" is enabled and I get a red "X" with two monitors and a locked lock where it says Wireless Network Connection? It won't even show me any wifi connections even though I have wifi at my house.
right click "my computer" click "properties" click device manager highlight the PC name and just install all if your doubt cause your LAN connection might be uninstall. the "disable and uninstall" are different problems.

You can see the connections available, but when you put in the password, you get a message along these lines: the network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration fix..." I've downloaded the latest driver and utility exe files from Dell for Wireless Networking, and have also downloaded Windows SP3. When I went to command prompt, and typed in ipconfig/all, it showed no MAC address, and indicated "media disconnected." Is there anything else I should look at? I'll be installing these files for him tomorrow. Oh...and there doesn't seem to be an on/off here for his wifi. I tried FN+F2 and that did nothing.Thanks for any help!
hello, u did a good job, but my system XP shows different windows as yours in the video , couldnt find device managment also. i was useing a external usb antenna but now wanting to use just the pc's wifi , but cannot bring any connections available when trying to refresh the network, might u know any thing in this direction ? Thanks Don

I switch it from something to Infrastructure, and I click accept, Then it says "Some settings were not changed." The settings I just did are not changed. It doesn't matter what kind of internet I choose. Help, anyone?
My window XP LAN connection got deleted accidently, I can not find the icon or couldn't create a new connection through net work connection, what is the way to get the internet back?. thanks for your help in advance:)
i reinstalled windows xp on a computer to clear the drive and once it restarted there was no LAN connection at all even though i was plugged directly into the modem/router. help please and thanks
