Did you see the dime he threw to his recovery I think franklin against Purdue?!! He was a biochemist he went to OSU for a education. Craig Kreinzel, Andy Katsenmoyer, Joe Germaine helped beat ASU. My cousin had a family member on ASU. A bunch of relatives left Ohio to go see it. And my cousin rooted for ASU.
Krenzel and OSU were robbed of a TD @ 7:53 in the 1st Q. That was incredible effort by CK to scramble, extend, and get that ball inside the pylon while still inbounds.
Haha, this defense was unreal 3:153:219:45 (setting up a 3rd and 42) 14:5023:2525:4537:39 and of course they hold on for the win Ok, also, Krenzel gets an honorable mention for the craziest most impossible scramble I have ever seen 31:16
@@darthgallion I really enjoyed Tressel ball. Not many Buckeye diehards did but I found some nostalgia in the smashmouth running, exceptional special teams and strong defense!
Notice how at the end of regulation, the officials permit the clock operator to run out THREE WHOLE SECONDS following the tying field goal. Hahahahahhaha.
Greatest season of my life.....every Saturday was amazing!!!!
I can still remember where I was during each game of 2002
31:15 one of my absolute favorite plays in OSU history...Krenzel was a flat out gamer.

This play embodies what Krenzel was to this team. It resulted in no points, but took another 3 and a half minutes off the clock.
back when QBs werent scaredy cats
L. Ross/M. Hall had no vision and they were not elusive! Definitely missed Clarett this game and the following season! 💯
ALA 24 nailed it
No vision at all
GO BUCKS !!! Checkout my youtube channel show BUCKEYE VINNIE, please watch my vids and sub to my channel thanks.
Lmao Ross was nothing but a fish outta water
Makes you wonder what if…
This game was very stressful to watch but Krenzel worked his magic again.

No stadium in existence has a more important coin toss. Tres ALWAYS put the wind at his back in the 4th qtr in Champain |ll whenever possible.
I miss Brett Musberger!! What a voice for radio/tv
Look how they ran stuff then. Smh. Oh man!
I think I took 2 pills back then. No shit. Vs. 500s

“Going for the ballgame” with 11 minutes left
I miss old school CFB
The year that every break went OSU's way
More like solid defense kept the games close when the offense wasn’t firing.
Tressel’s game plan was to use elite defense to force opponent to make mistakes. This is just how he did it. Lots of close ones because of this
So true!!! Checkout my youtube channel show BUCKEYE VINNIE , please watch my vids and sub to my channel thanks.
Tim Newman the year that natty went our way too 💪

Dustin Fox was Toast this game
Yeah he was!!! Checkout my youtube channel BUCKEYE VINNIE, please watch my vids and sub to my channel thanks.
Illinois had some really good WR’s that were a mismatch for him. He bounced back nicely though in the National Championship Game against Miami.
David Thompson & Kenny Peterson!
I forgot about how valuable Thompson was to that defensive line... big guy and a solid player.
Illinois Always plays OSU Tough!!
As a Ohio State fan that last pass in the end zone looked like a touchdown for Illinois. 38:40
Buckeyes had their share of luck in '02 for a change

That ABC clock is unofficial
What's with the field goal attempts. Some things never change 😂😅
WR was not a glamour position for Micheal Jenkins . That young man was very good and always clutch , but he took a beating game after game .
Andy groom mike Nugent tressels favorite players
Nugent's miss should have an asterisk and a🌀symbol next to it in the record book on this day...........
Witvoet the referee tried to screw Ohio State on the blown TD call in the 1st qtr. changed the complexion of the game.
Tressball!
Groom instead of Nugent? Bad call. I remember
Ohio State could have easily lost 5 games this season
But they didn't I like LSU - OSU. 🐅 I live down South now. Watch out for those Aggies!
Ohio state Buckeyes vs Illinois fighting Illini 2002 Brent musburger Gary danielson jack arute
Jon "The Feutjer" Beutjer, LOL
39:08 If Doss doesn't bat that pass down, they hit that slant for a touchdown.
Ohio State didn't have it easy home away or neutral field in 02
They shoulda beat us that year. No shit. Pitifull.
I'm a big buckeye fan but krinzel should never have been a quarter back
What??
Crack is whack
You're confusing Krenzel with Steve Bellisari. Now there was a square peg if I ever saw one.
Without CK in '02 there would have been no NC
At least he was willing to run with it. Some games he couldn't do anything else
