At 7:00 Nb5 seems to present a nasty threat. Black would have to scramble to defend against mate. Na6 wouldn't work because your white bishop can snatch it off. By taking his knight on f6 you opened up his black bishop, giving him options and space.
At 25:20 you had Qa4+ to pick up his bishop on a6.
Thanks.
Well played Ben,some carelessness, but you got there in the end. Thanks mate.
I'm feeling very human at the moment.
@22:42 I thought you were going to try out the Scotch Gambit if 3.exd4, not 4.Ng5?
Yes, I did say that. But Ng5 is also a very tempting cheeky alternative. It's often followed up by Bc4 as well.
Thanks Ben.
You're welcome!
Squid brain!
Huh?
@@ChessBootCamp Speak into the microphone Squid Brain (from Point Break)
@@chrishorsley4788 Ahh, no, that wasn't the reference. It was Marvin Dorfler in "Midnight Run".
@@ChessBootCamp Ah, close but no cigar
