Back when Teddy was actually producing and writing amazing music with actual choruses. 2NE1 has one of the most diverse discography in the game, and they only had 2 full albums. 👏 But 2NE1 was beyond the music. No one was and is touching their stage presence, energy, and live performances.
Omg you pointed out something I never knew I was missing. I wish groups these days let their music breathe for a second and take time to give us something like Missing You where there's harmonies and just pure emotional vocals. Listening to you point out the violins and cellos and little things in the songs made me relisten to them and enjoy them better! I LOVED YOURR REACTION!
Ugh Minzy’s voice is one of my favs in all of kpop. You might like her solo stuff actually, BUT you need to check out their Sketchbook performance of If I Were You because the VOCALSSSS
yes, If I Were You and Come Back Home Unplugged (when CL and Bom were sick but still gave it all during that performance...dannnggg), both at Sketchbook.
I feel like crying every time I hear their song Goodbye. The history there, the meaning, the behind the scenes and the reactions of CL and Park Bom through all of it just makes me feel for them
What more amazing on 2NE1 is their versatility, they try different genres! Great discography, reggae, rock, acoustic, ballad etc. That's their biggest advantage on other girl groups, also they are so good in live performances! 2NE1 is like a puzzle, when four of them together in one stage expect a bombastic performance! Awww I miss them😢
The song Goodbye is the song they made as a farewell song when they were disbanding. It was their goodbye to the fans as 2ne1. The song was originally composed by CL to Minzy cause she left 2ne1 right before disbandment cause the company didn’t let them release any music for over 3 years. The story behind this song is very meaningful and sad for us blackjacks. Thank you for discovering them and I love your reaction. Always love it when there are new fans who discover this legendary girl group who broke all stereotypes and brought so many new concepts to the world of kpop. Pioneers in so many new things
the way i get fluent in korean whenever it’s a 2ne1 song. i’ve been a blackjack since grade school. was a big fan of Dara when she was still an actress in Philippines ♠️♠️♠️
People think 2NE1 is just I Am The Best and Crush but nooo THIS IS 2NE1! they have my all time favorite vocals in kpop in addition with Lee Hi! They way they sing their tones and range is just chef’s kiss!
If you want more diverse genre from 2ne, i recommend these: - Falling In Love - I Love You - If I Were You (Another fan fave ballad) - Gotta Be You - Come Back Home (Unplugged Version) You should check out their live stages. They are known for that like bigbang
Omg!!!!! I’m so ecstatic that you’re finally giving them a listen! 😭 I feel like these are the selection of songs you would enjoy most from the discography.
YES FINALLY! YG groups vocals are so underrated. People always assume they only do edm/hiphop/rap shit. Bitches don't know YG groups LOVE BALLADS🤣. 2ne1's ballads in particular thooooo. Honestly what most blackjacks love abt them probably is their ballads
Ahh Missing You. It's my most favorite song from 2NE1, and that's saying a lot considering they have such a solid and diverse discography. Probably one of my favorite chorus in KPop. It's so beautiful.
Like where do i even start as a kpop fan from like 2008 till now 2NE1 and Girls generation hit the hardest. When people talk about KPOP and it sound i would say, true to kpop sound would be Girls generation for me. They r the definition of kpop for me. During and a short bit after girl generation success many groups try to go for the same concept or a sexy (for that time) concept. A hand full make it but not at the same level. Then in 2NE1 out of nowhere enter the game with a gothic, rocker, weird (very experimental) look, and sound. They introduced something different to Kpop. They did Rock, r&b, electronic, hip hop, reggae etc, their sound was so very different and distinctive to them. From styling to sound they are very willing to experimented. Like dara shave off haft of her hair for ‘I love you’. ‘Crush’ their last album, that no one at that time know was the last was bomb, and was such a hit. The mv and styling, I believe they could only go up from there. CL contributed to the lyric and music for many of the song on that album. It was a no skip album. I attended the world tour ‘all or nothing’ shortly after the release of that album and i was clad that i did because that was their last ever. The internet was just kicking off. So news we get was very little. Their disbandment was heart breaking. For me 2ne1 and girls generation are two sides to the same coin, different but they set my standards for kpop so high.
OH MY GOSH IF 2NE1 VIDEOS CAME AUTOMATICALLY THE WHOLE WORLD KEEP WATCHING IT.. ITS YEAR 2023 DID YOU IMAGINE THAT. THEIR SONGS NEVER GET OLD. THEY REALLY ARE THE BEST.
For me out of the Gen2 ggs, 2NE1 is the complete package. They could do it all, they were so versatile. All their title tracks were monster hits and there is no skips in all the albums they released. Their ballads were the most special for me - it was beautifully raw. 2NE1 is the group that brought me into Kpop and will forever hold a special place.
So happy you are diving into the 2ne1 ballads where they really shine vocally. I think about it hurts every so often for how well this was produced and executed. You gotta do one of their music show lives cuz it’s absolute bliss in their performance.
i can't believe you managed to pick all of their mellow songs for this first set lol. thank you for getting into them!! i was singing along to lonely and it hurts watching this. UGH miss them, they were so iconic. not sure if you've picked out songs for your next set yet, but i'm just gonna name drop some here. "i don't care" and "fire" were their debut that grabbed the public right from the get go. "go away" has an elaborate story-driven mv. "you & i" was bom's solo -- it was a big hit, i really like it, but i think you might find it repetitive. it might be fun to check out bom's performance of it for queendom season 1 and see people's reactions. some other big hits of theirs: "can't nobody," "come back home," "falling in love," "ugly" (this song is so special given how 2ne1 members were considered ugly by the public and their company at the time). hope this helps!! on a different note, please react to Brown Eyed Girls when you can!! i think you'd appreciate "sixth sense," "brave new world," "wonder woman," "abandoned." BEG members also have solo careers, and GaIn's was the most notable. i would recommend "bloom," "paradise lost," "fxxk u," "truth or dare" (this mv has a fun mockumentary vibe). BEG also stood out as the daring and mature girl group. and i don't think 4th gen has anyone quite like them. thank u again for ur reactionssss. luv u
OMG I literally was just listening to "Good to you" and "If I were you" and I thought it would be nice to see someone react to them since I've never seen anyone reacting to them and bam!!! You just did!!! THANK YOU!!! These b- side track of them are gold!!!!! 2NE1 never gets old and is and will always be the best!!! Im always a BlackJack
Nah the end of this took me out. Being a blackjack for I don’t even know how long at this point.. WOOOO that last song took me out. It’s been a minute.
Finallyyyyyy! I'm so hyped for this video. My favorite kpop group, no competition. I'm glad that you noticed Minzy's voice. She has always been my favorite singer in the group since It hurts. But at the time they only talked about her dancing (which she is indeed incredible at), but the throaty quality of her voice! 🤌🏼 she's also the most stable live. Speaking of live, you should definitely watch crush
No, you know what i'm not gonna do? Listen to Goodbye. LIKE i've been avoiding that song like the plague. It ruins me, like I get so emotionally charged - AND I NEVER GET EMOTIONALLY CHARGED. Especially not when it comes to music. But ugh, the grip Goodbye has on me. Ngl if you understand the lyrics, it does something to you. Knowing where Chaerin stood and what she felt, she really poured her heart out writing Goodbye.
I’m so excited for this!!! They’re one of the groups that got me into kpop years ago and to this day they’re still one of the most diverse, talented and mesmerizing artists ever to me. they all have insane chemistry and stage presence and it just works. true legends. I’m glad you enjoy their music. If you have time, pls check out some of their acoustic/live versions like ‘if i were you’ or ‘come back home’ if you want more raw vocals. especially queen CL just blows you away with the emotion she puts into every word❤ edit: thank u for this reaction btw, i know newer stuff probably gets you more views but i love seeing people discover older groups
lmaoooo. your react to the commentators reacting, lol. And yes, you're at Sunday service, the service of 2NE1! hahaha. thank you for reacting to the b-sides, cause you get to see so much more of what they can and will offer, other than their title tracks, and that goes towards any other grps. And 2nd gen.... 2ND GEN!!! honestly, the best gen. imo. Love your last remarks about them and I couldn't agree more, though it's fun to have the fun, brightness and poppy moments too. And I had forgetten Lee Soohyuk was in the It Hurts MV - loved him then and now, still looks the same too. Ugh, dudes man. Thanks for your react to 2NE1 Micah!
What a wonderful trip down memory lane ♥️ ♥️Thank you for listening to 2NE1♥️ if you are interested, my personal favourite live vocal performance by them is "IF I WERE YOU)' 0321 Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook" I think it really shows off how far they all came vocally over the course of their group careers ♠️♥️
2ne1 could've done so much more, if only YG didn't do that. Also, they are the most versatile, musically diverse and iconic gg until today for me. Their voices blends so perfectly and their tones of voice is easy to the ear (not ear-piercing nor cringey or nasally) but just the perfect balance. Its like they are girlcrush/badass and they really embody that in their stage presence and songs. When they speak on female empowerment, you can actually feel it from them. They set the bar so high for ggs that until now no group can come close. The only other group I love is XG. It's only 2ne1 and XG for me
Their last album still for me is the best all their songs from that album charted and some songs from that album blocking each other from winning music shows.
(I just noticed how long this text was after writing it but I hope you can read it lol) I love 2NE1 so much, they were one of the first groups that introduced me to kpop and it frustrates me that the first and only time I was able to check for one of their releases on time was with their disbandment song. It’s amazing that the girls still support each other so much, but it’s also infuriating that they could have stayed together if it wasn’t for the terrible management at YG by disbanding them when they still had a strong support from the public and the terrible decisions of not allowing the girls to promote more overseas (Will.I.Am apparently produced an entire english album for them because he saw the potential in them and CL is clearly a star who could have had hits in the US). Some people don’t really vibe with their music because it was very early 2010s dance pop but I still don’t think their upbeat music aged that poorly (if you ignore their first full album were Teddy abused the auto-tune on some tracks). If you want to check more of their stuff, I would say listen to ‘I Love You’, which infuses elements of electronic and traditional Korean trot, and ‘Ugly’, a rockier song that unfortunately mirrors how they were treated by the public, because even though they were always releasing hits, they were never considered attractive by the public (even YG himself called them ugly one time according to CL). Of course, I can’t forget to talk about their final album ‘Crush’, which received a 7.3 by Pitchfork back when kpop albums weren’t that discussed by western media and when critics were a lot harsher because they didn’t have fandoms attacking them for giving them bad scores and they didn’t need to be more positive to gain more clicks on their articles. There’s a ‘Crush’ live performance uploaded on their RUclips channel which shows their amazing stage presence and to me also proves that idols don’t necessarily need to have synchronized and heavily choreographed performances to do amazing on stage. Gotta Be You is another dance pop song on that album with some EDM and hip hop that I enjoy (and has a music video where they obviously look sickening, and I love hearing Bom on the bridge). They performed ‘If I Were You’ on Sketchbook and showed amazing vocals, and another time they also performed an acoustic version of ‘Come Back Home’ that is very lovely (poor Bom was very sick because of the nodules on her vocal cords, but she did very well). I also recommend ‘Happy’ from that album, an uptempo song that has a music video and a verse from CL that I quite enjoy. ‘Baby I Miss You’ is a chill midtempo song from ‘Crush’ (just like ‘Good To You’) that I play often when I’m in the mood for something softer but not too ballad-y
YES! These are the best 2ne1 songs imo. Their ballads >>>> the rest of their disc. I suggest even in your own time that you check out their sketchbook performance of if i were you. The vocals 🔥🔥
YESS discovering 2ne1 by their ballad songs is the great choice, their other songs is so good too but their ballads are something else to me, GOT ME INTO THEM BY THESE SAD SONGS, BLACKJACK 4EVER
Really love your Missing You review. It's not the most popular 2NE1 ballad but it's my favourite. I think it's a musical and visual masterpiece. And when you said you missed out I hope more new fans know that. New fans are so easy to dismiss 2NE1 and other previous gen but there were really good music then. And 2NE1 was very unique and versatile. They're the best!
2NE1 ballads are one of the best in Kpop. Just pure vocal talents and emotions. I would also like to recommend 3 more songs you might like, these are however live performances: - IF I WERE YOU (live from Sketchbook) ruclips.net/video/hc7yS0406YY/видео.html - UGLY (Live one take session) ruclips.net/video/d-RWhEchXQc/видео.html - COME BACK HOME UNPLUGGED VERSION (special performance feom the Sewol Ferry tragedy) ruclips.net/video/dmo-_GCpoYw/видео.html - I LOVE YOU (live with Jung Sungha) ruclips.net/video/PzCZp8sj11g/видео.html Also I made add, not really a ballad but reggae versions: - I DONT CARE (Reggae ver) ruclips.net/video/OhUiP_ygwXw/видео.html - FALLING IN LOVE (reggae ver) ruclips.net/video/1O1NgoW5tW4/видео.html

their ballad / slow songs are their best songs! I miss them so much😭 Goodbye was released as their disbandment song so my ass cries everytime i hear it. If you are up to it you should check out some of their individual and group live performances
I was happy you were enjoying Missing You but the entire time I was like OPEN YOUR EYES!! The MV was beautiful I felt like you were missing stuff like CL’s scene was so bold at the time!
I love 2NE1 so much. I'm glad you've dived into this group. I can't wait to see more 2NE1 reactions from you. Here are a few live/acoustic versions of a few of their songs that you might enjoy :) Lonely (acoustic) - ruclips.net/video/8Usobswas2U/видео.html If I Were You (live) - ruclips.net/video/hc7yS0406YY/видео.html If I Were You (ft. 😂 the shady truth about Teddy. All of 2NE1's albums were no skip albums for me
Oh wow I thought they had more music. That’s wild
the way they juiced out most of the tracks from their albums into mvs 😭💀
@Koko3op they have 2 mini albums and 2 full albums and that's it. Now, we have solo stuff but it doesnt hit the same.
True. 2NE1 is truly TEDDY's muse. He's inspired to write amazing music.
YG and Teddy will never be able to replicate 2NE1
I loved 2NE1 so much and I still cry while listening to Goodbye, YG did them so dirty
Back in the day it was hard to get a hold of kpop content in the U.S. BigBang and 2ne1 bridged that gap for non Koreans. Still thankful for them.
2NE1 was byfar the most versatile girl group of the 2nd generation.
all GEn perhaps
‘it hurts’ is THAT soulful rnb gworl. they don’t make ballads like her anymore 🥲
“those harmonies, are you dumb?” we love when a group can deliver vocals and colour
That's right! They are sooo special!!!! One of a kind!!!! And it's so sad what happened to them((( Miss them as a group everyday...
Man this was a rediscovery for me, I forgot how good their songs are and how good their vocals are, phew
Thank you!!! ♥️
Ugh Minzy’s voice is one of my favs in all of kpop. You might like her solo stuff actually, BUT you need to check out their Sketchbook performance of If I Were You because the VOCALSSSS
I love If I Were You! Their vocals are stunning
I rewatch that performance alllllll the time. It’s so great!
oh man yeees their live with their ballads will really bring forth emotions you do not know where came from
I love their Sketchbook performance so much! Especially If I were you. I found my people!
yes, If I Were You and Come Back Home Unplugged (when CL and Bom were sick but still gave it all during that performance...dannnggg), both at Sketchbook.
Awww I miss them😢
2ne1 ballad songs are classic. Even up to now it can be considered as Now music...
The song Goodbye is the song they made as a farewell song when they were disbanding. It was their goodbye to the fans as 2ne1. 2ne1 was that, they are like “this is my song, you can like it or not” missing you is my Goat from them but I also love Ugly and I love you ❤
Omg!!!!! I’m so ecstatic that you’re finally giving them a listen! 😭 I feel like these are the selection of songs you would enjoy most from the discography.
Haha yeah I think it was your comment I got these from.
Minzy was so underrated back then. Her voice was my favorite.
Same😭 I remember she's my Ult that time 💕
Same 😢and still is to this day😊
YES FINALLY! YG groups vocals are so underrated. People always assume they only do edm/hiphop/rap shit. Bitches don't know YG groups LOVE BALLADS🤣. 2ne1's ballads in particular thooooo. Honestly what most blackjacks love abt them probably is their ballads
my first bias group
CL wrote the lyrics of Goodbye in just 10mins! looking forward to more CL and 2ne1 reactions!
it’s so incredibly criminal that there aren’t more 2ne1 songs :(((
minzy's voice so powerful
These songs (especially It Hurts 🥲) still make me feel emotional to this day 😭😭😭
The things that's great with 2NE1 is you can distinguish their voicer easily.
Ahh Missing You. It's my most favorite song from 2NE1, and that's saying a lot considering they have such a solid and diverse discography. Probably one of my favorite chorus in KPop. It's so beautiful.

Apparently, Bom loved Good To You a lot she asked to record it as a solo song...
Yesss!! Still the most iconic kpop girl group imo like bringing the major fashion houses to kpop OWE THAT TO MISS CL!!!
Urgh your comments are chef's kiss
Thank you!!
QUEENS OF KPOP

You should watch the live versions of these songs. They're so much better live
YES! These are the best 2ne1 songs imo. Their ballads >>>> the rest of their disc. I suggest even in your own time that you check out their sketchbook performance of if i were you. The vocals 🔥🔥
Thank you for the reaction.. next please there AON 2014 live they are very good in live performance.
