This is a good approach in this situation, as there are numerous additional shields covering this boards components, the thin metal shielding transfers heat very quickly, and this is exactly what you want, to heat the shielding solder quickly, lower temperature allows the board to heat up significantly and that's not what you want to happen. You can use high heat on any board that lacks shielding of nearby components but then you must supply additional heat shielding accordingly. If you can place your finger or hand on the board next to shielding that you just removed and it's not to hot to the touch, other soldered components would not have been effected by removing the shielding with high heat, you can also use an infrared thermometer to check board heat to know exactly what kind of heat is transferring to the board, staying below the melting threshold of surrounding solder your working within a safe heat parameter. I'd say this video provided a good logical and effective approach of one method of shield removal because it worked!😎

Apply low melt solder around the shield using solder iron.. Then use the blower at 300 degree to safely remove the shield.. After the job is done you can put the shields back on their place..

This is a real life process, cover shield that never been open is hard to open using 300 c or lower then 350 c. 👍👍

Not good technique. 480 c is too much hot. İt can cause lots of problems to board. Safe heat for phone boards 360 c . Do not gave 360 c above its can damage board or ic components.
