Thank you for the inspiration & O-ring suggestion. I won't hesitate now to cut up an old fav and get even more use out of it. I'd also like to add some homemade anti-pick pocket safety features. We still need to safely & confidently carry our stuff without feeling rushed or vulnerable when we need to access it.
Just followed your instructions on my newly purchased backpack/crossover and it’s perfect! Thankyou When I used the bag as a crossover the backpack straps hung way down the back and no way to tighten them This is excellent and I’m so pleased Instructions were great!!!
Brilliant! Thank you 4sharing.❣️ Could you maybe sort for us out how to adapt a 1 or 2 handled shoulder bag into an effective crossbody?😊 Maybe I should be able to figure it out by myself 🤷 but I don't want to totally wreck a nice bag. Part of me thinks solidly attaching a new strap so it's stable, carries weight well & drops to the right length must be really complicated brain science. Either way, ty again!
Thats amazing! I keep looking at making this from scratch for a diy convertible backpack but even at that its not as good as your fix. I’m still going to make some from denim used jeans but love your method. I’m going to make the back more tote back looking. Sill figuring that out.
I'd love to see the finished product. I also have a video on making a purse into a backpack with this same convertible strap method. ruclips.net/video/SNfYObNzuIw/видео.html
I wouldn’t have thought of this alone! Nice video!

Thank you so much for this 🙂. I’ve been looking everywhere for a tutorial on how to do this. 💜

If you have a brown permanent marker, you can color the thread to match. :)
