My first car was a '67 Bonneville 2 door in red. Same interior with manual windows and seats. I had the black vinyl roof and the 428 motor. It was crazy fast. Loved hearing that Rochester Quadrajet carb open up. Had it up to 105 mph once and it floated as the air got underneath the car. Scared the hell out of me... I was 17 years old. LOL
Great memories of the Bonneville, when I was a young man I visited the US ( sadly just the once in 1969 ) the family we stayed with had the Bonni we drove from Detroit to Niagra Falls at something like 55mph ,as an Englishman I just could not get over having such a beautiful powerful car and only being able to drive at 55mph to stay in the legal speed limit.Just love cars made in the USA from those early years..went downhill in the 70's..
Always had a soft spot for these beautiful cars. My grandpa had this year Bonnie and he loves it. I felt like a rich kid sitting in the back seat when they took me for rides burning the bottom of my legs on that Black Vinyl interior. I was so tempted to play with the power windows and when he let me touch the control and lower the window it was a big deal for me. I still can smell the interior.
These 428 HO's are pretty strong runners right from the factory. With a few modifications, you can get some serious power out of them. Man, I'll bet that 4 door weighed at least 5,000 lbs.
My uncle had one of these as a sedan with the 428 in Frost Green and same Black interior. My cousin and I as teenagers would take it out and lay long smoking patches of rubber until he blew out the rear. Though it was lots of fun I felt guilty letting him abuse that beautiful automobile. I remember being amazed at the raw power, torque such a huge car like that had. Pontiac always were ahead of their time with powerful, futuristic looking vehicles.
Now, that's a friggin car. I got a 69 Bonnie off an old lady when I was a kid. It was a 4 door turd, but it had the 428. I had big plans for that engine, but ended up trading it for a 12 bolt rear end. I used to actually own GM products....lol. What a dumb kid I was, lol.
Yes they are very rare up in Canada as we didn't sell them here the only ones we got were imported from the States. We had the Parisenne which was very simular but came with Chevy engines and cheaper components like vinyl instead of leather.
A way to really tell is the two letter code stamped on the front of the right cylinder head. It should say YK or WL. That should tell you it's a real 428 HO 376 hp.
Nice, Nice, Nice!!!! Thanks for taking my request Jeff. This is a rare 67 Bonny, especially with a 428... and was preserved pretty good. Look out for a 63 Impala sport coupe and a 96 Impala SS for me. Enjoy your weekend my friend.
When I was young I seen a 428 that came out of a Bonneville The Specs. on them were 11.5 to 1 comp. ratio which was something then It was put in a 70's Pontiac and it was Very powerfull
No a 428 H/O Wrong manifold and air cleaner. Some body put a funky aftermarket decal on a stocK air cleaner. No 428 emblem above cornering lamps. No 428 emblem on fan shroud. Likely a standard 400. A/C compressor missing also.
You are correct. It sounds like they were trying to pawn it off as a 428. It's likely to be a 400. Still a great powerful motor. 325 or 333 horsepower.
You are right....it IS the wrong manifold. My first car was a '68 Bonneville with a 428 HO putting out 375 horses.....that is definitely a 400 manifold- the exact same shape as the one on my '74 bonneville 400 2bbl. My ' 68 bonneville had the '428' moniker right before the front doors at the bottom of the front quarter panels. At the very least, any model with either 428 c.i. engines would have the moniker in front of the doors@ the bottom of the front quarter panels. There were two versions of the 428 : 375 HP & 390 HP- it all depends on the VIN# of the car.
Great car! I love those sixties model Pontiacs. When I was growing up in Cincinnati in the sixties there was a Pontiac dealer in out neighborhood..Escue Pontiac. they had a small show room but a big facility underground believe it or not. Those salesmen let me take those brochures home. I tried to get my dad to buy a Pontiac.. they were so cool. But no ..he stuck with Chevy's
I Love The Car, I Love The Year, i Always like Looking Back of What Might Have Been!!! Me An My First Love We're Lovers way back then, in 1967 I Love that Year! It Was Hot, it Was Real, I Love Love Love Love it with all My ❤️ I Dream of it, till this Day! Of Me an My First Love an what might have been...
My grandmother had a white on white convertible. She had looked at an AC Cobra before she decided on the Bonneville and could have afforded it but said it had no roof, heat or radio and was not going to fly in Pittsburgh Pa. lol! She traded in a 57 Thunderbird on the Bonny, ah the 60s! (she said she traded in the T-Bird cuz the kids in the neighborhood used the trunk as a sliding board)
What a stunning car i would love to own this beautyfull car 🤟 love it just awsome colour just gourgeus 😎 cool car 🤟 😊 thanks jeff and Jordan for this video
Great video. Have any of you ever heard of a 1967 Pontiac Executive? The body style is much the same as the Bonneville's and Catalina's of the time but it had a bigger body and the 389 motor. That is the only one I have ever seen and even if I Google images of a 1967 Pontiac Executive all I get are photos of Bonneville's and Catalina's. Were they a rare car or something?
Wayne Hodge I,ve seen one, that car was made for exactly what it means Executive as in businessmen salesman and such, only came in hardtops though Everyone was targeted by the big three in those days,to compete with each other As for this one ,mine was stolen from me in the late 80s and it has yet to surface, unlike this one mine was all original in Tirol blue 428 4 speed with hood tach ,wish I could find it,not in any registry no car shows nowhere to be found, supposedly only 8 made I guess in my color

Was that the Rower Family?
It really is a massive beast. Thanks for checking it out!
Beautiful vehicle.....this is when designers had great vision....
Glad they bring back some memories for you. I'm doing my best to show all these cars to the younger generations.
Glad it brought back some memories for you. Thanks for taking a look!
Man thats one beautiful 67 Pontiac Bonneville brother.

Thanks for the video.
My first car was a 67 bonneville wagon with the 428.
She was the fastest car from gas station to gas station...
The mid 60s Bonnevilles, Lemans and Parisiennes were so nice.
Yeah, they had those 8 lugs on the Grand Prix too. Don't see them too often though. Thanks for watching Matt!
Oh yeah, these 428 HO's are strong runners for sure. Thanks for checking it out!
Yeah, that 428 sure livens it up, that's for sure.
We always loved the new Pontiacs in the 60s
It's amazing how those memories can come flooding back after so many years. Glad you like this one, thanks for watching my friend!
Thanks for checking it out George!
Looks like 1967, boy it takes me back.
I'll bet that really did go through some gas. Thanks for taking a look at this one!
I bought one exactly like this one for the engine...........put it in my '56 Chevy Belair. Good times.
Yes they are very rare up in Canada as we didn't sell them here the only ones we got were imported from the States. We had the Parisenne which was very simular but came with Chevy engines and cheaper components like vinyl instead of leather.
Glad it brings back some memories for you. I've always thought Pontiacs were cool too.

Behemoth. What a beast.
This one is definitely cool with that 428 HO under the hood. You're right though, that thing is huge for a two door.
Them things were real boats but definitely cool !!☺
I remember those black vinyl interiors on convertibles in the 60s, on a hot sunny day, if you had shorts on, you were welded to the seat.
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
That's a beauty!
I had a red 66 convertible, except it had a 400cid . it was a HUGE car and did impressive burnouts...
My Dad had a 67 Catalina Gold . Oh .i remember those hot blk interior !
same body as 67/68
wow! great car. I have never seen one like that before.
Man that is a sweet car like u said very rare too
I love the old boats. No need to power brake those, just stomp it and watch the tires burn.
When I was young I seen a 428 that came out of a Bonneville The Specs. on them were 11.5 to 1 comp. ratio which was something then It was put in a 70's Pontiac and it was Very powerfull

You are absolutely correct!!!!!!! This is NOT A 428!!!!! Who would be dumb enough to fall for this!!!! Such a fake!!!

Love this car and the Grand Prix, but they look better without the skirts
My grand father was driving That car but its wasnt convertible. He says to me That car was a beauty on the road.
The potential for a very nice car is there.
It's already a nice car. Nobody needs to ruin it with stupid changes that cut the value and get you laughed at.
Frumos. Erau vremuri bune în America.
I just looked at a 67 Grand Prix Convertible with a 428 HO recently too and it didn't have the 2+2 badges either.
I'm sure this one can lay down some serious rubber.
Yeah, I'd imagine those are pretty strong.
I Love The Car, I Love The Year, i Always like Looking Back of What Might Have Been!!! Me An My First Love We're Lovers way back then, in 1967 I Love that Year! Finally a big Pontiac!! Does this have the 2+2 badging on the fenders? I thought all H.O.'s were 2+2's
It is pretty huge for a two door.
How was the body style different from the Catalina? They are beautiful
Oh hey you!!!
Nice car would be great summer driver !!

8 lug. that'll hold some power to the wheels!
that's how i lik a car to be all original and wheels & hubs, also caps. No modifications. A perfect size. A big brute! ha ha ha lol. long & wide.
+Mark Ali-gilkes Glad you like it. Thanks for taking a look!
What a stunning car i would love to own this beautyfull car 🤟 love it just awsome colour just gourgeus 😎 cool car 🤟 😊 thanks jeff and Jordan for this video
I'm not sure if it was an option on the Gran Prix, but I know for sure it was on the Bonneville and Catalina's
Yeah, i try not to do that to myself these days....getting older and I need my rest.
Probably stickered incorrectly.....the air cleaner & manifold ARE stock 400 c.i.
Sonny Haskins 8865
My friend from high school has a 2 door hard top version in the same red with the pontiac 400 he redid himself
Is the hood unlatched?
GM really new how to build them back then.

mom had a 68 red/ white top and interior. i was 14 , i put more miles on it than she did....lol
What the deal with the corners of the hood sticking up past the line of the fenders. That doesn’t look right.
That cars body work doesn’t look right at the front end. Wouldn’t there be 428 badges on the right and left fenders??? Hmm 🤔
And no need to add dual master cylinder. Just ditch and store fenders skirts.
Is this vehicle for sale??
i have a 90 bonneville , looks way different lol but it to is big it sits 6 people and the trunk so huge
Intake is wrong !. never had a chrome air cleaner ! wrong 428 decal. should be orange
Oooohh! i'll hae that pontiac gto,log book & keys! bad ass american muscle !!!!! ha ha lol
Car from Scar Tissue music video.
