    Just take specific gravity in the bucket. If you find it easier to use test vessel sanitize it first then dump back in bucket.

    nice vid dude, you didn't sanitise the water measuring jug...but cant be any worse than crushing grapes with your feet as was tradition in wine making. :)

      Thanks. I sanitized the jug a few times. I just did it mostly off video. Thanks for the heads up. It was good of you to take the time. If it tastes like feet I will very disappointed. Cheers Pierre

    bentonite is positively charged clay mud!

  • @andyh4573
    @andyh4573 3 года назад +1

    Benzonite clay powder for binding floating particles together

    • @SimpleHomeBrew
      @SimpleHomeBrew  3 года назад

      You are spot on there, it also binds to proteins in the fluid, Bentonite is negatively charged and will attach to the positively charged particles floating in the fluid thus pulling the end result to the bottom of the carboy as it is heavier than the fluid it self clearing out a lot of particles. Thank you for mentioning this, it is important for wine making. Cheers Pierre😀

    I ordered Lodi Ranch 11 cabernet sauvignon California from Winexpert for $179, from their label information it added 10% sugar in this juice, but California state prohibits chaptalization. I will not buy any from this company.

      Yep doesn't affect it at all. I use Steller San. It's ratio is 1.5 - 1000. There is no chance for it to make any kind of impact. It is very affective against infection.
