My two favorite older Porsche and ALFA racers. Even when I was a teenager the 904 and ALFA TZ1 were my dream "some day I will have one" cars. I never could afford one but have had others....mostly ALFAs which I dearly love (latest is a 4C). I actually like the TZ1 over the TZ2....and have driven one once. There was also a Porsche 906 in one version which had the 6 cylinder engine instead of the 4 and the body looked the same. The give away was the scoop right behind the drivers window was a bit longer than the 904. While modern race cars (indeed some street cars) would give these a run, they are still such beautiful cars.

@@1258-Eckhart You are right, I didn't notice the 6. He can't remember the name of the car, maybe not even the engine. The 2600 sprint was also 4 cylinders. 6 in line he had to drive an Alfa from the fourties...
studio calderini 2600 spider/sprint/zagato/berlina was a 2600cc 6 in line alfa. In the 60ties. There was also a 2 liter 4 in line. The giulia spider had a 4 cylinder 1600cc, the giulietta spider was a 1300cc 4 cylinder.
I agree. Turn the announcers volume way down, or get rid of them. They get really annoying if you watch a full race. The racing is great, the announcers aren't!
A stunning race. Well beautiful cars but hardly stunning racing. Where does Goodwood get these idiot commentators from. Do they get paid for there useless input?
Alfa Romeo or Porsche? Which would you race today.
Alfa
904.
Alfa! Beautiful cars, skilled drivers, what more could one possibly want... Real racing 👍🏻👏🏻
904
Alfa, without a shadow of a doubt!
The Alfa Romeo TZ2 its one of the most beautiful cars ever made,a true Masterpiece.
That Alfa is beautiful
That Alfa is one of the best cars i have ever seen

Tha Alfa Romeos are fantastic
Beautiful cars, really. The 904s and the TZs are long-time favorites. Would like to have seen a little more of the surprising Mini Marcos back there.
To watch not 1 but 2 904's running on the track is a real treat! Thanks for posting this video.
I♥️ Alfa Romeo 🍀
Stunningly beautiful cars and great racing.

904s look so lovely...... One of the most beautiful race cars out there.....
Un solo nome : Alfa Romeo !!!! forever
Alfa ❤💪
What an epic race
Those Alfa TZ/2s are Alfa’s sporting unsung heroes…..superb small racing car from Autodelta.
proper racing, no dirty air stopping them overtaking.
What a beautiful site! What is the red car that has a "smile" for a grille?
That's about 500 million dollars on that track. Please be careful

Back when cars danced on tarmac. the TZ2 for me.
how can there be thubs down on this ?
Is that the same Willie Green who drove a Jaguar D-Type in mid ‘80s historic racing and for a 1986 article in Classic and Sports Car magazine?
Yes, very talented driver, he also owned a road going GT40.
He also used to race an Alfa Romeo 158/159 Alfetta as well...
Was that Alain De Cadenet in the booth?
Well that was brief
Sooo how many millions of dollars are out there? $200M, $300M?
Porsche, there is no substitute
I was in Germany 68 to 75 Had an Alfa 2door in-line 6 4 speed, for the life of me I can't remember the name Guiette or something like that .
Giulietta
1968 and inline 6? Can't have been a Giulietta, something like a 2600 GT.

I had 2000 in mind (with its flaws, while 2600 was perfect)

I don’t agree.. perfect how it is.
Luckly the real Alfa left the races…(luckly for the others)
When you have so much money that you don't care racing a 3 million euros car and crash it
