I'm glad I got to see Vessi actually Vogue, i was all over her IG before trying to find videos of her voguing bc I refused to believe what they aired of her against Audrey was how she vogues. This was so pretty
I find it kind of odd that I can't seem to find many wacking vs voguing battles since they seem like such complimentary styles. This battle was such a treat in that regard. This entire elimination round had some of my favourite battles of the entire street fighter series
This is the first time I've seen ManneQueen so supportive toward their opponents, they seem to be a great sport in this video. Well, as I've noticed, ManneQueen's members always had a soft spot for Vessi, probably since their genres are very related, waacking and voguing. When I watched the uncut version of Vessi's No Respect battles, ManneQueen always hyped her up and do this pointing thingy whenever she dipped that you would expect to see at ballroom scenes when voguers do dips. Love this for both of them.
@@jess_holyfield It was such a a shame that Lady Bounce was eliminated through their battles against ManneQueen tho, like this is what I was looking forward to when I started watching the show and this is what's I'm so satisfied to see, the battles between real street dancers, but I'm so sad that this was because they both had the low rankings and battled to decide which crew to be eliminated. Like if you think about it, the only 3 street dance crews had the lowest scores and two of them were eliminated in this very episode (I would very much consider Jam Republic a street Dance crew tho, they had the clear genre they were going for and both Audrey and Latrice are active in the street dance scene, Emma too maybe, I can't find much about her). Something along those lines doesn't sit right me 😭😭
They always do if you go through all the eps It’s all evil editing Yoonji is rlly one of the kindest hardworking ppl & one of the best dancers in the show
@@Rayruey I know the evil editing thing, Yoon Ji has been my favourite from the start, i even paid the ticket + the plane ticket and other hotel costs and stuffs for Radikal Forze mainly to see her in person. Well i guess they might have been supportive since the start but this stands out more to me.
As soon as I heard Yoonji's song I knew it was over because I've seen her kill this song like 5 times before over the years, this was her going easy on the song. Also I love how she appealed to 1Million because she also loves appealing to the judges by dancing their own dance styles at them (check out her battle against Lip J at Lineup, it's probably the most famous example (fun fact about that battle, watch the 3rd judge she dances in front of in that battle, he's rhythm gate, Waackxxxy's boyfriend so she dances waackxxxy's steps in front of him))
ngl i like the soft voguing and I was looking forward to Vessi's, but next to voguing clips i see all the time, from the ballroom scene or competitions i thought it lacked the power voguing usually brings during battles. But it was cool to see these genres showcased this episode!
If ur talking about her lack of power its because of the type of vogue she does. There are 3 types of vogue: new way, old way and femme vogue. Femme vogue also has 2 branches: soft and dramatic. Vessi specializes in soft femme vogue, not dramatic, hence theres less power so its more smooth and soft
After watching so many of Yoonji's competition vids this battle felt most authentically her. Maybe bc early in the show they asked all the girls to turn up the drama. But before the persona she brought tk her battles was purely seruous/tough. But in this battle she has her intimidation moments but then she lets loose. Smiles and enjoys herself on the track. And that's how she beats all her opponents. By being talented and unbothered and living in the moment
Exactly one of her best feature is wittiness and freeness So I think the tense got to her and it abit downgraded her usual battle outside vs inside the show Of course her power and technique were still there
Vessi was crazy in this one. I really hate the battle she had with Audrey but watching this, I realized that maybe mnet edited it so that it would look bad, especially since we only saw a quarter of her dance in that battle.
Completely agree on this! I believe I got to see her uncut full cam version so that was nice! I wish that we got to see more authentic representation of the dancers on Mnet, but you know they will NEVER gives that haha
Mnet are so baised to jam republic They seriously disgust me cuz the one on the show are the effected Like when Yoonji hate hate trained for no reason She got no protection
like Yoonji won. But Vessi won my heart, one Kim Possible. And two... she brought me back to the vibe that HBO's Legendary has. All the dips and everyone pointing down when she dips... even it wasn't as high energy as Yoonji. I actually thought Vessi's audience had higher energy than Yoonji's audience.
I LOVED this battle the only thing i wished for the song choices was for them to use the Kim Possible (call me beep me) version Link for reference: ruclips.net/video/qLLUAfCTZ3g/видео.html
not sure if its just me but i feel like vessi doesn't actually know how to like.. properly vogue? because im not sure exactly what she was doing the entire time tbh?? like im not if shes new to it or something but it just felt flat and never impressed me?
I will say her vogue is more on the "textbook" way of executing vs innovation within the craft. I only say this based on my limited exposure to her battles within the show. I feel that if she gets to choose her song and circumstances, she could pop off!
I argee, and I think it's mostly the music and her personal style, I've seen her voguing videos before and she kinda still do the same thing, however I believe that if the DJ played some vogue beats then we may see a different side of her dancing.
the song they played was a vogue beat song! it was the wrong version but she missed the timing on her dips, they were not balanced or done well, it was just like mehhh@@nguyenuc7922
Eventhough she didn't win this one, vessi really did redeemed herself here, i was SCREAMING for her soft dipsss and her hand performance too ughhhh😩
YES!! So glad to see her kill it here!
I'm glad I got to see Vessi actually Vogue, i was all over her IG before trying to find videos of her voguing bc I refused to believe what they aired of her against Audrey was how she vogues. This was so pretty
I completely agree with you here! So nice to see her in her element!
when vessi started voguing i literally SCREAMED. this battle was truly for the girls and the gays 😭😭
She did so good here!!!
Yoonji's energy, power, technic and musicality are on another level. And that's why she is winner
Yoonji was so captivating! So glad she got the win here!
the fact vessi bring all femme vogue element ( catwalk, duckwalk, hand performance, floor performance & spin and dip ) is insane!!!
I know right??
I find it kind of odd that I can't seem to find many wacking vs voguing battles since they seem like such complimentary styles. This battle was such a treat in that regard. This entire elimination round had some of my favourite battles of the entire street fighter series
It was a great watch and I agree the elimination battles tend to be some of the best in each season!
U can find battles such as Haejun vs Waackxxxy for lineup! Haejun freestyled with vogue and both waacking

Agreed! Love this exchange between them!!

I totally can agree with you here! She did great, but it did lack some complexity and innovation within the track, but still nice to watch for sure!

Love this perspective! I really think that she showed a side that I really wanted to see from her, and I'm so glad we got to see that here!
So proud of Vessi here
I'm really happy we got to see such a great side of her!
Yoonji is a genius
Idk much about dance but I binge watch her battles & judge shows
I’m obsessed
Yoonji is such a powerhouse!
ALMOST AT 2K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting close!

Vessi is crazyyyyyyy omg
She did so well here!
Yoonji deserved it
right? she's really a powerhouse. i also found out that she's been in the battle scene since forever, she battled a lot.
