WAACKXXXY & YOON JI really put wacking on the MAP.....I've watched their other performances and THEY KILLED it....I love their confidence, and HOW they really went toe to toe..very experienced battle dancers, they got the attitude, concepts, and they are SO IN TUNE with the beat. I love how they've combined other styles with wacking to create true fusion.

Most Korean dancers are perfectionist. They actually learn the music in and out as well as the smallest details of the dance. You can just look at that insane synchronization. That's why also kpop idols are very synchronized compared to other pop artists in the field. And Waackxxxy is also the teacher of Chaeyeon (i*zone main dancer).

When she dances, beyond any techniques, she dances like she's the character the song was talking about. Check her out. She is one of the original Korean Waack team alongside Waackxxxy and Yoonji.

Waacking is just such a scary style sometimes, yet so heavily underrated, regardless, these waackers can and still will smoke most dancers when it comes down to it Ya'll are free to disagree with me, but to me, Waackxxxy and Yoonji won the Les Twins semi final too, like all bias aside, they were easily the best duo of that night, no other team participating had a round better than any of theirs throughout the event. Their sets were insane, and these are still the tip of the iceberg of what these ladies can do (refer to literally any of their battle with funk/disco/electro music)
Waacking isn't new at all even at all-styles they're just finally getting the sort of looks they should've been getting for years now. That said the level of difficulty in their rounds is insane. The level of precision in some of their concepts at 2:54 at the speed they're doing it at is beyond incredible. Le Mino himself is no joke in France and they made him look like a child here.
Waacking or Electro are old styles that they didnt go mainstream until last decade, WAACKXXXY is her time here at fusion concept she almost got the W against Diablo, but this year against les twins they were good but not enough tho
That the style is new isnt what I meant by new wave, I know its old. Ive been following it for years, Ive been exposed to it since a decade ago thanks to old Dance Alive footage in japan, and following different top tier waackers all the way to now. The point with new wave might've been lost due to my lack of better english, or just misunderstood context, but the argument as a whole still stands. Waacking as a style is one of my favorites, its a style with high-end, near limitless technique, and its adaptability to music within a spectrum of music genres in general (obviously still depending on the dancer of course) is one of the scariest, and down to outright freestyle and artistry and expression, is my top pick.
