I used to write letters to Natas K when I was 13 because hey, everyone as a kid needs an idol Right? Absolutely my favorite skater of all time! Guess what? He actually wrote back and sent stickers and everything, that was like the best day ever for me. Great video TG,thanks for doing it! From- the og sacto crew :-)
*"Oh, dirt!"* Fuckin' love Natas. Started doing my very first handrails on a Natas, sacked my first time on a Natas and even broke my first board on a Natas. I even learned surf style from watching Natas long before I ever waxed a board up. I love me some Gonz but Natas made skateboarding super fun for me. Pure stoke.
TG - I'm honestly blown away with what a great series this has turned into. Each conversation is so fascinating and keeps me coming back to watch more. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for doing these interviews man. Its super rad to (finally) learn a bit more about the person behind the skating. Skateboarding definitely has a rich diversity of personalities - I look forward to more vids from you.
Great stuff! Childhood heroes for sure. Because of Natas I would dream of red curbs in Norway, but alas; rain and rugged asphalt was the norm. But did get to travel eventually! Wish list: Gonz, the ever elusive Neil Blender, Arco, Stanger, Carroll, Lotti, Hensley, all the old street pioneers. The newer guys: Wes, Silas and Grant probably has a thing or two to say.
Awesome TG!! Two legends!!! It was a trip to hear you guys talk about when shapes changed. You were lucky to find an 8" deck. Small wheels,I still don't get it!
Two legends and epic BS session! Thanks for trying to figure out the story behind Santa Monica Airlines/SMA Rocco Division aka “Confusion in the Marketplace.” Seems like Natas is just as confused about what transpired. Only Skipper and Rocco know for sure. Natas is so humble and/or almost dismissive about 101, which was one of the best skateboard companies of all time. It’s probably best that it ended right after he bailed because it escaped the Flameboy/Wet Willie fate.
Super rad! 2 legends. Really fascinating stories. I love 101 so it's awesome to hear what was behind all of it. I still watch Snuff with Gino pretty regularly. Funny to hear how 8 was considered wide for decks back then. I remember skating pretty skinny boards back in the 90's. I'm riding 8.25 now and it doesn't even seem that wide to me.
Yeah. I used to ride Powell boards back then so I remember. It's funny because I was just a small kid skating those oversized boards. I actually ended up with a Mark Gonzalez mini from Vision before the popsicle, skinnier boards took over. That seemed to work more for my size.
I want to see one about TG not enough on what he has been doing the past 25 years he is one of the original street guys and had one of the coolest boards ever
Great stuff! But the original Natas mumbling as he does the riding in part 1 would be better! :-) Good to see Natas seemingly in good health! \o/ -- for your next gig, what happened to Tony Magnusson? Or Eddie Elguera?
The Natas spin on the fire hydrant will forever be one of the sickest tricks ever done on a skateboard. Legendary.
Got me into skating as well as Gravette's style

Tommy and Natas what a great combination. This was so good!
