- Montana is one of those places that always leaves us feeling like our time is too short. This week we hike to Bear Creek Overlook and swim in the Bitterroot Valley, experiencing phenomenal mountain views and clean rivers, followed by some tasty ramen for dinner in Missoula before we set up camp in a picturesque wild camping spot. We hope you enjoy this "Day in the life" style vlog and that we'll see you back for our next video in eastern Montana.

How did we get here?
We're Cody and Olivia, an American couple from Oregon, who found a love for 4x4 driving and camping after we purchased a 3rd gen Toyota 4Runner. After exploring much of the American west in our 4Runner, we found our dream overland rig, a 1985 HJ75 Toyota Landcruiser Troopy, in Bend, Oregon. We plunged head first into fixing up and building out the Troopy with a lot of misadventures along the way. Finally in 2022, we realized we had an opportunity to live our dream of full-time overland travel. We quit our jobs, sold our house and all of our belongings, and set out on the road trip of a lifetime following the Pan-American Highway south to Ushuaia, Argentina.

We used to live on Bear Creek Rd. I agree. Most epic hike! I loved the fact when we finally made it to the top, to see the drop dead gorgeous overlook.
My family is from this area. Blodgett canyon is named after my 2x great grandfather and his homestead. You should try that trail next time!
wow Olivia and Cody, thanks for sharing. That coffee looked great! Beautiful sky Montana!
Thanks Ivan! It’s hard to find a coffee shop that actually has good drip coffee. This place was a gem.
Can't beat a river dip after a hot day in the mountains. Great video.
So refreshing! It was in the high 80s/ low 90s the whole time in Montana
What a great hike! Love the videos
I live in Montana to and it is the best
The vehicle is cool.
Traveling in a Troopy in the States my dream , thanks.
Those mountain rivers are usually deceptively freezing! I remember thinking I would bathe in one in Colorado and I was like NOPE! my hands were freezing just trying to wash my face. 😁
Fortunately the Bitterroot River was in the valley so not too freezing but still brisk 🥶
Hey homie, brake fluid is meant to be used right away. It's cheap just buy some new stuff
